Role Scope We are looking for a Product Manager to lead strategic product direction for our core platform offerings. This is a high-impact role designed for a product leader with deep technical knowledge of cloud systems, virtualisation, and storage . You’ll work closely with engineering, customers, and partners to define the roadmap, drive innovation, and guide product execution across Virtuozzo’s ecosystem. This role is focused on the core infrastructure layer behind Virtuozzo Infrastructure and Virtuozzo Storage, and this is where compute, virtualisation, networking, and software-defined storage come together. The product scope includes the performance, resilience, scalability, and efficiency of block, file, and S3-compatible object storage, as well as its integration with virtualised and cloud-native workloads across hyperconverged and standalone deployments. We build infrastructure that supports real workloads and not simply as a wrapper for public clouds, but as a true alternative. Do you want to be a part of it? What You’ll Be Doing Define and execute product strategy across cloud infrastructure, virtualisation, and storage components Engage deeply with engineering teams on system architecture, RFCs, design reviews, and technical specs Drive product innovation in performance engineering, scalability, and infrastructure optimisation Lead competitive benchmarking and shape product direction based on data and market trends Collaborate with hardware vendors (CPU, GPU, storage, networking) to deliver integrated, performance-optimised solutions Align roadmap and delivery across virtualisation, cloud management platforms, and infrastructure tooling for CSPs, MSPs, and enterprise providers Coordinate cross-product initiatives and ensure smooth integration with internal and third-party tools Identify emerging technology trends and guide long-term investments in innovation Support definition and enforcement of product quality KPIs, customer use cases, and performance benchmarks What You Bring Deep technical expertise in one or more of the following: Virtualisation: containers, hypervisors, orchestration, GPU virtualisation Storage: block, file, object; erasure coding, tiering, caching, replication Networking and security within distributed systems Experience writing Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with detailed technical content Ability to align engineers, architects, and kernel developers around shared product goals Experience leading technical design discussions and architecture reviews and participating in RFC processes Strong cross-functional leadership across QA, DevOps, SRE, benchmarking, and compliance Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security standards (FIPS, GDPR, PCI-DSS) Proven ability to analyse performance benchmarks , define KPIs, and make product decisions grounded in data Experience collaborating on patentable technologies or filing IP in infrastructure domains Excellent communication skills and ability to drive alignment between product, engineering, and field teams 5+ years of experience in technical product management OR 5+ years of hands-on experience in OS/storage/networking development or system-level Linux administration What We Offer Flexible hours and remote work options Share Options—everyone shares in our success with share options We help our team get private medical insurance Employee engagement and recognition programmes Supportive, engineering-driven culture with minimal bureaucracy The chance to influence Product and R&D decisions from day one Depending on your location and preferred employment method, other perks and benefits apply
