Job Description

Position Summary:

Rockwell Automation is looking for an experienced Product Manager based in the USA to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) products and digital identity capabilities.


You will work with the CIAM Technical Leader in translating business and customer needs into relevant projects and ensuring delivery from initiation through to production.


You will have experience managing complex technology projects, understand modern identity technologies, and is comfortable working in an Agile product-development environment.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Partner with CIAM technical leadership to define product vision, roadmap, goals, and priorities.
  • Translate requirements as available from customer and business into product capabilities and prioritized backlog items.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer identity experiences, authentication, authorization, registration, profile management, consent, and self-service.
  • Support development of product roadmaps and quarterly/annual project planning.
  • Define project related KPIs and success metrics.
  • Lead complex CIAM platform enhancements from discovery through implementation and production rollout.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and delivery schedules.
  • Manage scope, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Coordinate multiple engineering and technology teams across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning in close coordination with scrum masters.
  • Ensure projects remain aligned with goals, architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and delivery commitments.
  • Be a primary coordination point between business, product, engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, UX, and operations.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and dependencies to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate decision-making across teams and resolve issues.
  • Facilitate relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and technology partners.
  • Develop working knowledge of modern CIAM technologies and identity standards.
  • Work with architects and engineers on capabilities such as:Customer registration and onboardingAuthentication and passwordless authenticationMulti factor authentication (MFA) and Adaptive AuthenticationSSO and federationAuthorization and policy-based accessCustomer profile managementConsent and preference managementIdentity verificationAccount recoveryCustomer self-serviceIdentity analytics and reportingAPI and application integration
  • Understand standards and technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, REST APIs, MFA, FIDO2/WebAuthn, and identity federation.
  • Ensure solutions address security, privacy, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires 8+ years of relevant experience in project management, Product leadership, technology delivery, or related discipline.
  • Experience managing complex technology projects involving multiple teams.
  • Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Experience developing product roadmaps, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience communicating platform updates, project milestones, and progress to stakeholders, partners and executives.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
  • Experience defining and tracking metrics that measure the success of projects
  • Experience with CIAM, IAM, cybersecurity, or digital identity.
  • Experience with platforms such as Auth0, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of API management and microservices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Experience working with UX/UI and digital experience teams.
  • PMP, CSPO, SAFe, or similar certification.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.


For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $140,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD with an annual target bonus of 8% of base salary. Our company benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
