Who we are
Phorest started in 2002 on a busy salon reception desk as a simple text-reminder tool.
Today, we're a SaaS company and a trusted partner to over 155,000 hair, beauty and medspa professionals worldwide. Our all-in-one software and AI-driven tools help them manage bookings, take payments, market their services, grow their client base and get the best from their teams.
Everything we build helps the salon and medspa industry thrive.
We're also a Certified B Corp, and 25% of the company is owned by Phoresters. When the company grows, everyone has a stake in that.
About the Product team
Our ambition is to become the number one platform for premium hair, beauty and aesthetics businesses globally. For our Product & Engineering organisation, that means understanding the people behind those businesses and building thoughtful, reliable products that make a real difference to how they work.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for experienced Product Managers at both mid and senior level to help shape products that support hair, beauty and medspa professionals to run thriving businesses.
Working closely with Design, Engineering and Data, you’ll turn customer insights into meaningful product improvements, balancing strategy with hands-on delivery. You’ll take ownership of high-impact initiatives, shape clear roadmaps, prioritise what matters most and deliver measurable outcomes. Along the way, you’ll build strong relationships across teams and regions, bring clarity to complex challenges and help raise the bar for product quality. For more senior team members, there’s also the opportunity to mentor others and influence product direction beyond your own domain.
What You'll Do
Own a product area end-to-end, defining its strategy, long-term roadmap and key bets in line with Phorest’s mission and measurable outcomes.
Lead complex, high-impact initiatives across squads, functions or regions. Partner with Engineering, Design and Product Operations to align dependencies early, reduce ambiguity and deliver through influence rather than authority.
Lead discovery by talking with customers, analysing data, running experiments and validating assumptions. Build close partnerships with regional teams and join customer calls regularly to bring in-market insight into decisions.
Translate insights into clear problems to solve, product requirements and actionable plans.
Balance customer value, strategic fit and commercial return when prioritising; communicate trade-offs, risks and progress clearly to senior stakeholders and partners.
Collaborate across teams—including Commercial, Success, Support, Product Marketing and regional teams—to align readiness, bring feedback into solutions and support adoption.
Own outcomes beyond delivery: track adoption, customer outcomes and commercial measures such as ROI and ARR; use post-launch data and feedback to learn, improve and ensure initiatives reach their intended impact.
Keep your product area organised and transparent with a current roadmap, prioritised backlog, clear requirements, initiative metrics and proactive progress updates. Build strong business cases for major investments.
Mentor and support other Product Managers, sharing feedback and helping strengthen product practice across the team.
Who You Are
You’re an experienced product manager who combines strong product thinking with a practical, collaborative approach. You communicate clearly, make good judgement calls and keep the team aligned on what matters most.
You have:
Between 5-8 years’ Product Management experience, with a proven track record of successful product launches and significant business outcomes.
Strong customer empathy and a structured approach to problem solving; you seek insight directly from salons and end-users and validate assumptions continuously.
Strategic thinker who connects product and roadmap decisions to Phorest’s strategy, customer value and commercial outcomes, balancing user needs, business value and technical feasibility.
Confidence partnering with Engineering and Design to challenge ideas constructively and make trade-offs that deliver great outcomes.
A trusted leader by influence: you build credibility, align senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without relying on authority, and communicate clearly and persuasively.
Organised and dependable, bringing clarity and consistency to complex workstreams and following through from discovery to impact.
Outcome-focused and analytical: you define success by impact, set and track KPIs (including ROI and ARR), analyse product usage and turn evidence into actionable insights.
A supportive mentor who coaches other Product Managers in product craft, discovery and prioritisation, helping strengthen team capability.
Resilient and adaptable: you navigate ambiguity with composure, stay focused on results and adjust when new evidence emerges.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and product development frameworks; experience with tools such as Jira and Looker.
Experience in hair, beauty or wellness, consumer products, mobile products or a relevant product area is an advantage, as is experience selecting and managing suppliers or vendors.

Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalised folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.
