Position Objective:
The Product Marketing Manager leads go-to-market strategies and integrated marketing campaigns for new products and an assigned product portfolio. This role owns the product marketing process from strategy development through launch and in-market performance, defining customer positioning, messaging, and value propositions. Working with minimal supervision, the position manages launch budgets, marketing assets, retail merchandising initiatives, and cross-functional execution to drive successful business results.
Responsibilities:

Go-to-Market Strategy & Launch Execution

Develop end-to-end GTM planning for new product launches across multiple channels.

Audit & optimize existing categories/product messaging & assets to optimize against current trends in market changes.

Define the customer persona and the customer journey touchpoints for new products while ensuring we are adapting to variations in the customer journey.

Define competitive positioning and differentiation, translating category and competitive insights into clear, compelling messaging that translates into a strong value proposition message for the product being marketed.

Ensure the marcomms touchpoints on the customer journey are defined and content is integrated across the relevant touch points.

Develop launch campaigns, including messaging, positioning, and audience segmentation along with budget management and future marketing support.

Project manage the creation and delivery of all marketing assets (e.g., packaging, in-store displays, product videos, digital content, sales enablement tools).

Partner with digital marketing and social media teams to ensure post-launch execution supports a successful in-market launch and prolonged campaign to establish the product in the market.

Retail Marketing & Merchandising

Collaborate with key retail partners to develop customized merchandising strategies that drive visibility and sell-through.

Ensure consistent brand presentation and messaging across retail environment with a focus on digital product pages

Analyze retailer performance and use insights to optimize merchandising programs.

Work with vendors to manage RFQs, SOWs, pricing negotiations, and POs following designated processes.

Project & Stakeholder Management

Manage multiple concurrent projects, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams including product, creative and sales to ensure alignment and timely execution.

Lead project kick-offs, track progress, manage budgets, and report on key metrics.

Own and continuously improve the marketing product launch process to ensure on-time, successful launches.

Category & Post-Launch Performance Analysis

Analyze market research, sales analytics, and competitive threats to inform best-in-class marketing initiatives.

Report on launch performance and results once products are in-market, including recommendations for optimization.

Relationship To Others:
The Product Marketing Manager works closely with Product Management, Sales, Communications/Creative Services, Digital Marketing, and Finance to develop and execute successful product launch strategies. The role also collaborates with retail partners, vendors, and agencies to support merchandising, marketing campaigns, and product visibility. Success requires influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority to achieve business objectives.
Dimensions of Position:
This position independently leads go-to-market strategies and manages multiple concurrent product launches from planning through post-launch analysis. The role is accountable for marketing launch budgets, vendor expenditures, and project outcomes that support product sales growth and category performance. The position has no direct reports but provides leadership through cross-functional project management, stakeholder influence, and execution excellence.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
- 7+ years’ experience in product marketing or brand marketing, preferably in consumer goods.; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the hiring manager and People & Culture.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a standard or home office environment which requires occasionally lifting articles such as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work and phone usage. This position is hybrid, averaging 2 days per week in the office. This position requires up to 10% travel, including occasional domestic and international travel, as business needs require.
