About Owner

Owner is the AI-native system local business owners use to succeed, starting with restaurants.

We’re building the system that replaces the many tools owners use to run their business.

It powers everything from the restaurant’s website, online ordering, CRM, POS, and more.

Product philosophy

Most small business software makes owners do the work to get what they want: sales growth and profit growth. Owner does the work for them agentically.

Our system drives demand, converts it, and helps operators run their business day to day. As it improves, the business improves with it.

Using Owner should feel like having a team of great operators, engineers, and marketers working for you.

Our vision

We’re starting by helping independent restaurants succeed online.

But it’s not just restaurants that need our help. Most local businesses are struggling with these same problems. Huge technology corporations are taking their customers, bleeding their profits, and making it hard for them to survive.

Once we nail the solution for restaurants – we’ll scale it into every other local business type.

In the future we envision, tens of millions of local business owners will use our technology to succeed in the digital age.

Our traction

Since 2020, we've generated tens of millions in revenue and processed over a billion dollars of online orders. 1 in 5 Americans have used an Owner.com website.

More importantly, we’ve helped over 20,000 restaurant owners, and saved them nearly $200 million in fees.

Our team

Our team is now in the low hundreds. We’ve got top talent from the most successful companies in SMB software, including: Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, ServiceTitan, Rappi, Faire and Stripe.

We’ll be scaling even faster in 2026 to keep pace with our customer growth.

Where we work

Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Most of our teammates are distributed throughout the globe. Please review the role description and discuss with your recruiter for more details on location!

Why we're looking for you
Owner helps restaurants run and grow their businesses online. Our product is moving quickly, and the opportunity is not simply to announce more features. It is to make every important product investment easier to sell, easier to adopt, and more valuable to the restaurants that use it.

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager who can connect product velocity to commercial impact. You will help our frontline teams win the right customers, retain the customers we have, and clearly explain why Owner is the better choice. You will turn customer and market insight into positioning, proof, enablement, adoption programs, and feedback that shapes what we build next.

This is a GTM-focused role. Launches and communications are tools in the system, not the outcome by themselves. The outcome is stronger win rates, healthier retention, better adoption, and a frontline team that can confidently make the value of Owner clear.

This role is fully remote and can be based in the United States or Canada.

The impact you'll have
Build positioning, messaging, proof points, battlecards, talk tracks, objection handling, and customer stories that improve competitive win rates.

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Support to understand what helps them close, onboard, adopt, retain, and expand customers.

  • Identify adoption blockers and churn risks, then turn product capabilities into practical retention and expansion plays.

  • Create scalable enablement systems and workflows that keep the frontline current without relying on one more training session.

  • Bring win/loss insight, customer feedback, competitive context, and adoption signals into Product and Marketing planning.

  • Define the audiences and customer behaviors that matter most for priority capabilities, then build GTM programs that move those behaviors.

  • Partner with Product early to clarify the customer problem, sharpen the value proposition, and make the eventual GTM motion stronger before development is complete.

  • Use launches, customer communications, in-product moments, and other channels selectively when they drive a measurable customer or commercial outcome.

  • Use AI to increase the speed and quality of research, content creation, analysis, and enablement while maintaining a high bar for accuracy.

Who you'll work with

  • The VP of Marketing and Product Marketing team.

  • Product and EPD partners, from early discovery through rollout.

  • Enablement, Sales, Customer Success, and Support.

  • Customer Marketing, Growth Marketing, Community, and Brand/Events.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, go-to-market, sales enablement, customer marketing, or a closely related role in technology.

  • A track record of improving a commercial or customer outcome, such as win rate, adoption, retention, expansion, or frontline effectiveness.

  • Experience turning complex product capabilities into clear positioning and practical tools for customer-facing teams.

  • Strong customer and market judgment. You can connect objections, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and churn or adoption signals to what the business should do next.

  • A systems mindset. You build repeatable workflows that scale with product velocity and make it easier for teams to do the right thing.

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills. You can make a value proposition compelling and a frontline asset immediately useful.

  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Marketing.

  • An AI-forward approach to your work. You actively use AI to move faster without sacrificing accuracy, judgment, or customer empathy.

How we'll evaluate your work

As part of the process, you will work through a practical scenario involving a priority product capability with an adoption or competitive win-rate challenge. We will ask you to diagnose the problem, identify the target audience, develop the positioning and frontline plays, propose a focused rollout, and define how you would measure impact.

Pay and benefits

The estimated base salary range for this role is $155,000 - $165,000 USD, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package.

Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, a remote-first workplace, unlimited PTO, and additional perks.
