We’re looking for an analytical, hands-on Product Operations Specialist with 3+ years of experience in financial services or fintech, who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable working across multiple products. The ideal candidate can quickly tell a bug from a configuration issue or an enhancement, takes ownership of operational issues with a strong sense of urgency, and enjoys teaching other teams so they become more autonomous.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Operations Specialist to join our Product team, reporting to the Director of Product. In this role, you will become the operational expert on one or more of our products and business lines, connecting Product, Configurations, Support and Implementations. This role is critical to taking operational load off our Product Owners and to resolving questions, bugs and requests quickly. You will complement our Support team with expert product knowledge, without replacing it. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience configuring, implementing or supporting financial products, and is excited to work daily with U.S. credit unions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Expertise & Onboarding

  • Work alongside the Product Owners during an initial immersion period until you become the expert on your assigned products.
  • Stay current on system and implementation changes, following a defined update plan.
  • Join additional training sessions when required.

Implementations & Pilots

  • Attend deployment syncs, demos and pilots, and help the team understand new credit union implementations.
  • Support the Configurations team during implementations, answer their questions, and train them on system features and changes.
  • Follow up on pilots from the product side and lead feature stabilization during pilots.
  • Take part in handoffs to Training, Implementation, Sales and Marketing.

Bug Triage & Second-Level Support

  • Triage reported bugs, confirm whether each one is a real bug, and give immediate support to Support and Implementations.
  • Provide second-level support to the Support team, resolving questions beyond level 0/1.
  • Guide Support leads (Swipe, Core and Digital) through new feature rollouts until they own the stabilization of each feature.
  • Teach so that Support gains autonomy rather than becoming dependent.

Improvement Requests

  • Review every improvement request and decide whether it is an enhancement, how it could be addressed and how much effort it would take.
  • Escalate requests to the Product Owner for roadmap evaluation when they need prioritization within the cell.

Education

  • Professional degree (undergraduate university degree) in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  • A specialization in product management, project management, or finance is a plus.

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the financial sector or fintech (banks, savings and credit cooperatives, employee funds, card processors, or core banking providers).
  • 2+ years configuring, implementing or supporting financial products (savings, loans, cards or digital channels).
  • 1+ year in production support, incident analysis or bug triage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Functional knowledge of core banking, card processing or digital banking.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose incidents and tell a bug from a configuration issue or an enhancement.
  • Ability to estimate the scope and effort of improvement requests.
  • Ability to train other teams and build their autonomy.
  • Clear communication with Product, Support, Implementation and Configurations, as well as with executives.
  • High sense of ownership and urgency when resolving operational issues.
  • Comfortable working across multiple products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous learning mindset to keep up with system changes.
  • English level B2 (CEFR) or higher, to work daily with U.S. credit unions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with U.S. credit unions.
  • Experience supporting feature pilots or product rollouts.

Perks

  • 100% Remote Work – Work from anywhere during the contract period.
  • Multicultural Environment – Collaborate with global teams.
  • Learning & Exposure – Gain hands-on experience in a fintech/digital banking environment.
  • Impactful Work – Help shape products that credit unions and their members rely on every day.
