Product Owner

We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead a SEPA Direct Debit squad within an international Payments Tribe.

Work setup: Hybrid in Brussels: 50% on-site and 50% remote. Occasional travel to Paris or Lisbon.

Responsibilities:

• Own the SEPA Direct Debit product scope across creditor and debtor services.
• Manage connectivity involving PSP clients and multiple clearing and settlement houses.
• Define priorities and delivery plans based on business value.
• Represent the squad and align requirements with local and group-level stakeholders.
• Refine features and user stories to maximize value delivery.
• Manage the backlog, iteration planning and user-story elaboration.
• Define objectives, monitor results and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Lead Agile ceremonies and support collaboration across the squad.

Must-have requirements:

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven product ownership experience and strong knowledge of receivables.
• Solid knowledge of payments and the financial services industry.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and project management.
• Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strategic mindset, leadership abilities and affinity with IT topics.
• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language: Dutch or French.
