Product Owner – Back Office, Integration & Ecosystem | Full-time | Hybrid (3 Days On-site in the Rotterdam Area)
For an international travel-tech scale-up, we are looking for an experienced Product Owner – Back Office, Integration & Ecosystem to take ownership of the integrations connecting the company's platform with customers' business systems.
The Role:
In this role, you will join an international product team working on a travel management platform used by companies in the maritime, aviation, and energy sectors. You will take ownership of integrations with customers' HR, ERP, finance, expense management, and crew-planning systems, translating business requirements into technical specifications and working closely with engineering teams to deliver solutions.
You will also help shape the integration roadmap and contribute to AI-assisted workflows and further automation across the platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own and develop the product roadmap for APIs, integrations, and back-office systems.
- Translate business needs and customer workflows into clear technical requirements and development specifications.
- Work directly with customers to understand their processes, conduct workshops, and define data mappings.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and deliver REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
- Manage relationships with external technology providers and integration partners.
- Oversee the delivery and adoption of integrations connecting HR, ERP, accounting, expense management, and scheduling systems.
- Measure product success through customer adoption, time-to-value, and reduction of manual processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation and AI-driven solutions.
Profile:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within B2B SaaS, fintech, travel-tech, or platform/API products.
- Proven experience delivering integrations or API products that are actively used by customers in production.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, API design, and technical specifications.
- Experience independently conducting customer workshops and translating business requirements into data mappings.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, HR, finance, expense management, or scheduling platforms.
- Proven track record of managing product delivery and measuring customer adoption and business impact.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of product decisions, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Currently based in the Netherlands and available to work from the Rotterdam office 3 days per week.
Nice to have:
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, Concur, Expensify, NetSuite, or Xero.
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data integrations, and data transformation concepts.
- Experience with AI agents, LLMs, or AI-assisted workflow automation.
- Previous experience in backend development or integration engineering.
- Knowledge of the travel industry, crew management, maritime operations, or aviation.
- Experience working in international scale-up environments.
