Rate: €500 - €550 per day

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a leading financial services organisation in Dublin. You will own the strategy and backlog for core banking platforms and API products, working closely with business, technology and architecture teams in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the product vision, strategy and backlog for core banking platforms, channels and API products

- Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and product deliverables

- Work with architects and engineering teams to review technical designs, data models, API design and integration approaches

- Ensure all platform changes comply with regulatory and security standards including PSD2, SEPA, ISO 20022, AML and KYC

- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning and Agile ceremonies across multiple delivery streams

- Manage demand intake and prioritisation across stakeholders, balancing business value, risk and delivery capacity

- Identify and manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges across interconnected platforms

- Maintain audit-ready documentation and embed compliance controls from the outset

- Track delivery health and platform performance, driving continuous improvement

Required Experience

- 5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally within banking or financial services

- Strong experience owning platform or API-based products in large enterprise environments

- Experience working closely with architecture and engineering teams on technical design decisions

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

- Strong working knowledge of Agile, Scrum or SAFe, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence

Good to Have

- Understanding of payments and regulatory frameworks such as PSD2, SEPA, ISO 20022 and AML/KYC

- Experience with API management or integration platforms such as MuleSoft

- Experience with multi-tenant or B2B SaaS platforms

- Experience delivering digital transformation within enterprise-scale programmes

- CSPO, SAFe POPM or a similar Product Owner certification
