JOB SUMMARY


This position serves as the Lead Product Owner driving the scope, vision, and backlog across four distinct Agile scrum teams focused on Data Processing Platform Pattern Development and Data Migration. The role owns the strategic product backlog for building scalable data processing patterns, executing complex data migrations, data curation, and downstream use-case enablement. Acting as the critical bridge between business stakeholders, clinical partners, and technical delivery teams, this leader translates complex interoperability and infrastructure requirements into actionable user stories. This role requires deep technical acumen—specifically in Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services—alongside strong Agile Scrum methodologies to orchestrate scaled delivery across multiple engineering teams.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scaled Product Ownership & Backlog Management: Serve as the Lead Product Owner driving the scope and backlog for 4 dedicated Agile scrum teams. Define product vision, manage complex cross-team dependencies, prioritize features, write technical user stories, and lead agile ceremonies at scale.
  • Platform Pattern Development & Data Migration: Lead the strategy and backlog for robust data processing platform pattern development. Oversee and support large-scale enterprise data migration efforts, ensuring the creation of reusable, scalable, and efficient data pipelines.
  • Technical & Architectural Alignment: Work effectively alongside Data Engineers and Architects to drive platform capabilities. Maintain deep technical proficiency in Databricks, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, Data Lakehouse architecture concepts, GitHub/DevOps CI/CD, YAML, and Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Executive Communication: Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders for requirements gathering, strategic prioritization, executive communication, and conflict resolution. Act as the primary business and technical voice across the four scrum teams.
  • Healthcare Domain & Quality Standards Integration: Apply knowledge of HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set), NCQA/Stars ratings for CMS/ONC reimbursement, Risk Adjustment, and Care Management practices to shape data curation and downstream consumption.

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 7 years of experience in IS/IT


Preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in technical product management, data platform engineering, or business systems analysis within the Healthcare or Health Insurance industry.
  • 3+ years of experience functioning in a scaled Agile Scrum environment as a Product Owner, specifically demonstrating the ability to manage scope, backlogs, and dependencies across multiple concurrent scrum teams (Certified Scrum Product Owner [CSPO] or similar certification preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale data migrations and developing data processing platform patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience working deeply with modern cloud data ecosystems, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Databricks, to facilitate data curation, transformation, and lakehouse enablement.
  • Demonstrated experience with EHR systems and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
  • Strong knowledge of payer clinical programs, including HEDIS, Stars, Risk Adjustment, and Care Management.SKILLS
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis, product management, or business systems analysis within the Healthcare or Health Insurance industry.
  • 3+ years of experience functioning in an Agile Scrum environment as a Product Owner or in a closely related product-owning capacity (Certified Scrum Product Owner [CSPO] or similar certification preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with EHR systems (Epic, Athena, etc.) and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
  • Strong knowledge of payer clinical programs, including HEDIS, Stars, Risk Adjustment, and Care Management.
