Your role at Clorox:

The Material Planning Product Owner will lead the advancement of material planning capabilities, processes, and enabling technology across Clorox manufacturing. As part of the Materials & Scheduling Management Center of Excellence, this role will translate business needs into scalable technology solutions, develop and prioritize the material planning product roadmap, and partner across Supply Chain and technology teams to strengthen planning capabilities.

This role provides the opportunity to shape how Clorox plans materials across the enterprise, improving material availability, inventory performance, planning effectiveness, and the ability of manufacturing teams to reliably execute the production schedule.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the Material Planning technology product backlog, translating business requirements and improvement opportunities into prioritized capabilities, features, and solutions across Clorox's planning technology landscape.
  • Lead material planning technology capability development, partnering with business teams and technology resources on solutions involving SAP MRP, SAP S/4HANA and integrated material-planning capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of material planning processes and tools, identifying planning gaps, evaluating root causes, translating needs into technology enhancements, and supporting solution design, testing, implementation and adoption.
  • Partner across Supply Chain with Materials & Scheduling Management teams, Production Scheduling, IBP/Supply Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing and related functions to ensure material-planning solutions support production, service and inventory objectives.
  • Strengthen planning master data and system effectiveness, helping ensure planning parameters and system designs support appropriate inventory levels, lead times, material availability and replenishment signals.
  • Establish and monitor measures of material-planning capability and performance, using data and operational insights to identify improvement opportunities and prioritize product development.
  • Build enterprise capability and adoption, developing standards, procedures and learning materials and partnering with the Material Planning Community of Practice to ensure new capabilities and processes are understood and consistently applied.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and connector between the business and technology teams, communicating product priorities, roadmap, dependencies and releases to stakeholders and ensuring technology development delivers measurable business value.

What we look for:

  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience in supply chain planning, material planning, manufacturing planning, or related supply chain operations
  • BS/BA Degree (Supply Chain or related technical degree) or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA MRP/material planning
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP, or comparable supply-chain certification
  • Continuous-improvement experience such as Lean, Six Sigma or Business Process Management
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP concepts, including material requirements, inventory, replenishment, lead times and planning parameters
  • Experience working with enterprise planning or ERP technology, with the ability to translate operational business requirements into system capabilities
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability, including the ability to identify root causes, draw conclusions from data and establish actionable next steps
  • Proven ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders without relying on direct authority
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex planning and technology concepts for both technical and business audiences
  • Experience leading process improvement, system enhancement, implementation or other cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience with advanced planning applications and integrated supply planning environments
  • Experience supporting product roadmaps, agile delivery, prioritized backlogs, system implementations or technology enhancement programs
  • Experience in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods
  • Experience developing planning standards, KPIs, training or capability-development programs
