Product Owner Operational Workorder Solution (m/f/d)

As the Product Owner of the Operational Workorder Solution (OPWO) you will shape and deliver a critical SAP‑based product that supports ports, terminals and equipment processes. You will own the product vision, translate business needs into a value‑driven backlog, and ensure high‑quality functional outcomes from design through release while acting as the main bridge between regional business stakeholders and Hapag-Lloyd IT.

• Define and continuously refine the OPWO product vision, target state and roadmap in line with COPS (Cargo Operations) priorities and P2P (Purchase to Pay) strategy.
• Identify, size and prioritize value opportunities such as automation, standardisation, usability and data quality.
• Own the global OPWO backlog, translating requirements into epics, features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog refinement sessions with business and IT teams to ensure readiness for implementation.
• Partner with the OPWO Product Manager (IT) to deliver functional designs, UAT readiness, defect triage and release sign‑off.
• Coordinate business input for solution design decisions, ensuring feasibility and alignment with the product vision.
• Serve as the primary business‑facing contact for OPWO across regions and functions, establishing steering and decision forums.
• Provide executive‑ready status updates on roadmap progress, risks and required decisions.
• Drive global communication, training and adoption activities for new OPWO capabilities.
• Monitor post‑release performance and gather feedback to continuously improve the solution.

• Understanding of Hapag‑Lloyd’s port and terminal business, preferably gained in previous roles.
• Familiarity with the OPWO process and related SAP modules.
• Proven experience as a Process Owner, Product Owner or Project Lead in a complex, global environment.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both business and IT stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to senior executives and facilitating workshops.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on translating business needs into actionable product backlog items.
• Experience driving change management and product adoption across multiple regions.
• Knowledge of SAP functional design and release management processes.
• Proactive, results‑oriented attitude with a track record of delivering high‑quality functional outcomes.
