Working closely with the Product Manager, Engineering, Data, and Delivery teams, this role will translate product strategy and customer needs into well-defined, actionable requirements and prioritized backlogs. The Product Owner will serve as the primary product partner to Engineering throughout the development lifecycle—clarifying requirements, making tradeoffs, validating delivered functionality, and ensuring capabilities are ready for customer adoption and support.
This role is critical to turning Q2 Assistant strategy into consistent, scalable, high-quality execution across both core platform capabilities and client-facing experiences.
Responsibilities

- Serve as the day-to-day Product partner to Engineering and Data, answering questions, refining requirements, resolving ambiguity, and enabling timely decisions throughout development.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning support, acceptance testing, and product validation to ensure delivered capabilities meet defined requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate dependencies across Engineering, Data, Integrations, Delivery, and other Product teams required to deliver end-to-end Q2 Assistant experiences.
- Incorporate customer, Delivery, Support, and internal stakeholder feedback into backlog prioritization and product improvements.
- Support beta, launch readiness, GA, and post-launch activities, including documentation, enablement, issue triage, and adoption feedback.
- Help operationalize governance and quality standards across core Skills, custom Skills, agents, and other AI-powered capabilities.
- Maintain clear visibility into delivery status, blockers, dependencies, and scope changes for Product and Engineering leadership.

Required
- 3+ years of Product Owner, Product Management, Business Analyst, or related software product experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Strong understanding of Agile product development practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.
- Ability to break complex capabilities into clearly scoped, sequenced, and testable increments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Technical fluency sufficient to work effectively with Engineering and Data teams on APIs, data dependencies, integrations, and AI/LLM-based capabilities.

About Us
Mission
Q2’s mission is to build strong and diverse communities by strengthening their financial institutions. That mission shapes the technology we build, how we serve our customers, and how we show up for each other.
Vision
We started with a straightforward belief: technology could fundamentally change how financial institutions serve their communities. More than 20 years later, that belief still drives us. Q2 delivers digital banking and lending solutions that help financial institutions deepen relationships, improve experiences, and grow. Across every department and region, Q2 team members bring creativity, collaboration, and purpose to building technology that makes banking stronger, easier, and more human.
Culture & Values
Q2’s culture is built by Q2ers and grounded in ten guiding principles that define how we show up for each other, our customers, and our communities.
We take our mission seriously. We also have fun doing it. Teams across the company work together to solve hard problems, move quickly, and make a real impact on the financial institutions and communities we serve. We’re also helping shape how AI is applied in financial services, bringing the same disciplined, banking-first approach Q2 has practiced for more than 20 years to this next chapter of innovation.
