About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Product Owner to join our team, focusing on the management and development of our Billing Systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Billing Support/Squad, ensuring alignment and effective management of user stories. Key Responsibilities: Manage the prioritization and development of user stories for sprint planning. Maintain and refine the product backlog, creating user stories based on business epics from stakeholders. Act as a consultant to business stakeholders in formulating their Epics, defining the needs (WHAT) and collaborating with the development team to determine the implementation approach (HOW) Ensure high quality of deliverables and continuously seek opportunities for improvement using inspect and adapt methods. Serve as a technical translator between business units and the development team, ensuring clear communication and alignment. Oversee the ongoing development of the billing system, which includes managing complex rule sets Build and maintain knowledge around legal, tax, regulatory, and business requirements relevant to billing and invoicing Requirements: At least 3 years of previous experience as a Product Owner, preferably in a complex technical or enterprise environment Knowledge of agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban and familiarity with DevOps practices Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing German language skills are a strong advantage, particularly for understanding and discussing German tax, legal, and regulatory requirements Proven ability to work closely with product managers and various stakeholders to understand new feature requirements and their implications Strong technical understanding and the ability to discuss technical concepts with development teams Willingness to continuously learn about legal and regulatory requirements as well as the business needs specific to this area Knowledge around finance and billing/invoicing processes as well as in accounting Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
