Apply Job Type Full-time Description ABOUT THE POSITION AND OUR TEAM: Our Product team is focused on turning supply chain clients into raving fans. We're hiring a Product Owner to focus on the demand forecasting and planning module of our supply chain planning software - developing and executing a roadmap that makes complex problems simple and delivers value fast. You'll be the voice of the customer, ensuring the product solves real problems and drives business outcomes. If you have experience in inventory planning, supply planning, or manufacturing operations, you are curious about the technology to aids these roles, and regularly ask "there's got to be a better way to do this" - this role is for you. The Product Owner reports to the Director of Product Management and works closely with development and UI/UX to build the right product, and craft the positioning to launch it, both internally and externally. You'll work day-to-day within a squad made up of engineers, QA, and UX - planning, building, and shipping together as one team. LOCATION AND WORK: This position may be performed from one of our office locations or remotely. This position will work regular business hours in the Eastern time zone. Candidates with the ability to work a hybrid schedule in one of our office locations (Charlotte, NC, Emerald Isle, NC or Independence, OH) are preferred. Product Strategy Surface the exceptions planners need to manage and build visibility that creates trust in order plan recommendations Translate supply planners' day-to-day work into clear requirements Own and refine the backlog priorities, balancing long-term vision with short-term iteration Distinguish must-haves from nice-to-haves Work with customers and internal stakeholders to understand issues and workflow nuances for demand planners Collaborate with UI/UX on intuitive, low-friction workflows Support go-to-market readiness - demo and position new functionality Monitor post-launch adoption and measure improvements in accuracy, time savings, or decision quality AI-Enabled Actively use AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate repetitive tasks without outsourcing your thinking and judgement Evaluate AI output critically - know when a decision needs a human vs. when it can be automated Delivery Manage the backlog: high-level canvases plus detailed stories and requirements for active work Write concise user stories and acceptance criteria grounded in real use cases Follow agile ceremonies (planning, estimation, retro, standup) Partner with development and QA to prioritize, review, and accept work as a squad Validate assumptions and gather feedback from customers throughout the lifecycle, including on mockups and beta Requirements Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience in supply planning and inventory management - strong understanding of planning concepts - forecasting, lead time, safety stock, BOMs, capacity, and replenishment logic Experience using commercial planning software day-to-day (not just Excel) Strong technical aptitude - comfortable learning how systems work and exploring data to inform decisions Excellent communication skills; can explain complex ideas simply Curiosity, problem-solving instinct, and empathy for the end user Able to prioritize, multitask, and make clear decisions in a fast-moving environment WE ARE SERIOUS ABOUT OUR MISSION: Our world is changing.
