The Coordinator – DAM serves as the primary custodian of the organization's Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform and associated content governance processes. This role is responsible for the ingestion, organization, maintenance, quality control, accessibility, compliance, and lifecycle management of digital assets across marketing ecosystems and business initiatives. The Coordinator ensures consistent execution standards, asset discoverability, metadata integrity, and adherence to governance requirements while supporting current business needs and future DAM architecture enhancements. The role acts as a key liaison between Marketing, Creative, Packaging, Production, and Technology teams to maximize asset utilization, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and maintain enterprise digital assets within an internal or client-managed DAM platform, including photography, graphic elements, packaging assets, and governance documentation.
  • Ingest approved assets from validated business sources and apply accurate metadata to ensure asset integrity, discoverability, and compliance.
  • Maintain asset taxonomy, metadata structures, naming conventions, and categorization standards.
  • Establish and enforce DAM content delivery standards, including:
    • Standardized file naming conventions
    • Product category classification and searchability
    • Graphic asset delivery requirements
    • Metadata governance standards
  • Conduct periodic audits to maintain content accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
  • Advise stakeholders on asset usage rights, licensing restrictions, intellectual property requirements, retention policies, and archive standards.
  • Monitor asset lifecycle processes including archiving, expiration, retirement, and preservation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure assets support merchandising, marketing, packaging, and promotional initiatives.
  • Facilitate efficient asset delivery and accessibility for internal teams, agencies, and approved partners.
  • Support ongoing business initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve asset workflows and utilization.
  • Contribute to the DAM technology roadmap, supporting future architectural enhancements, integrations, and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Operations teams on DAM enhancements and integration opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Management, Creative Operations, Communications, or related field, or
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Digital Asset Management, Content Operations, Marketing Operations, Creative Operations, Production Coordination, or related discipline.
  • Experience administering or supporting Digital Asset Management platforms (such as, Adobe Experience Manager, Bynder, Acquia DAM, Aprimo, MediaValet, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of metadata management, taxonomy development, asset lifecycles, content governance, and digital asset workflows.
  • Knowledge of copyright, licensing, intellectual property, asset usage rights, retention schedules, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing large content libraries and ensuring searchability, organization, and accessibility of assets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail, governance, and operational excellence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $22-$24 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
