Our productions take place in real-world environments; filming real people, often within tight timeframes and evolving conditions. This means every shoot requires careful planning, strong coordination and the ability to adapt quickly as situations change.

The opportunity

This is a senior-level coordination role and is particularly suited to someone with significant production experience who is looking to step away from travel-heavy roles, while still operating at a high level in a global production environment.

We are looking for someone experienced in production and shoot coordination who is now looking to bring their expertise to a fast-moving, global production environment.

A key part of this role is commercial negotiation; consistently securing the best possible rates from freelance crew and partners globally, while maintaining strong relationships and quality standards.

This is documentary filmmaking. You will be coordinating shoots involving real people in real environments; plans change, access shifts, contributors reschedule, and conditions evolve. The ability to stay calm, adapt quickly and problem-solve in real time is essential.

About the role

Working closely with producers and our global network of freelancers, you will coordinate all logistical aspects of filming; from planning through to execution.

You will often be managing multiple shoots simultaneously, each with different challenges, locations and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate documentary shoots globally across multiple time zones, taking ownership of shoot logistics end-to-end, ensuring smooth delivery without on-the-ground presence
• Translate producer requirements into clear, executable plans
• Make practical decisions quickly to keep shoots moving
• Source and secure high-quality freelance crew and local partners worldwide, building and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers
• Lead rate negotiation with freelancers and suppliers, ensuring strong commercial outcomes for every shoot
• Prioritise effectively across multiple concurrent shoots with competing demands
• Build efficient shooting schedules; often condensing complex filming into a single day
• Create clear call sheets and running orders
• Identify risks and produce risk assessments using templates
• Manage permits and location logistics where required
• Act as the central coordination point across producers, crew and partners
• Adapt quickly to changing circumstances during shoots

Experience & background

• Significant experience in production coordination or production management
• Background in documentary, factual or real-world filming environments
• Experience sourcing and working with freelance crews and suppliers
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex shoots simultaneously
• Experience working across international or multi-time-zone productions
