Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of client savings commitments and commercial value targets by transforming media, campaign and financial data into accurate, actionable and reliable insights. The Productivity Manager acts as a control layer between Client Service, Planning, Trading and Finance teams, ensuring data consistency, performance tracking, reporting quality and compliance with agreed methodologies.

This position combines analytics, financial oversight and media expertise, making it ideal for professionals who enjoy working with data, driving performance and influencing business decisions through insights and governance.

Responsibilities

Savings Delivery & Commercial Accountability

  • Oversee the delivery of savings commitments and financial targets agreed with clients.
  • Monitor performance against benchmarks and agreed objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure consistency between planned, negotiated, purchased and reported investments.

Data Management & Reconciliation

  • Consolidate information from campaigns, media platforms, planning and financial sources.
  • Reconcile discrepancies across planning, buying, reporting and billing data.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and auditability.
  • Maintain clear documentation of methodologies, assumptions, benchmarks and reporting versions.

Trading & Planning Support

  • Translate productivity and commercial objectives into measurable goals for Trading and Planning teams.
  • Define and monitor cost and efficiency benchmarks.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Challenge decisions and strategies that are not aligned with commercial commitments or agreed methodologies.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Define, track and analyse productivity, cost and efficiency KPIs.
  • Monitor performance against agreed targets and benchmarks.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to improve business outcomes.

Reporting & Governance

  • Define reporting frameworks and consolidation methodologies for savings and performance reporting.
  • Ensure consistency between internal reporting and client-facing reports.
  • Validate results against contractual commitments and agreed methodologies.
  • Translate complex data into clear business conclusions and recommendations.
  • Minimise commercial, financial and reputational risks through strong governance and reporting accuracy.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with Client Service, Planning, Trading and Finance teams.
  • Align priorities, responsibilities, timelines and data requirements across stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely follow-up of critical topics and escalation of potential issues.
  • Promote accountability, process discipline and data quality across teams.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Media Planning, Trading, Media Analytics, Productivity, Performance or Business Control roles within a media agency environment.
  • Experience managing financial commitments, savings targets, benchmarks and performance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of media planning, buying, negotiation and reporting processes.
  • Experience working across multiple clients, media channels and contractual frameworks is a plus.

Technical Skills

Required

  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong data analysis, consolidation and reconciliation capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of media metrics and efficiency indicators (CPM, CPR, GRPs, etc.).
  • Experience building and managing benchmarks and performance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of savings tracking and commercial performance monitoring.
  • Experience designing, validating and maintaining reporting processes.

Preferred

  • Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
  • Media planning and buying platforms.
  • Reporting automation and data processing tools.
  • Knowledge of productivity, auditing and governance methodologies.
  • Experience with Statement of Work (SOW) management and contractual governance.
  • Understanding of agency financial processes.
