Summary:
The Program Analyst turns what the Enterprise Laboratory Instrument Services (ELIS) program actually does into evidence the program and the client can act on. This role helps support operational performance analysis, spend and volume trending, and the analysis behind decisions on coverage, capacity and capital replacement.
The role is remote with periodic travel to assigned sites. It reports to the Regional Director of Operations and takes functional direction from the Manager, Master Data and Systems on data and reporting standards.
What you will do:
Contractual performance reporting:
Produce contractual key performance indicators
Maintain the calculation method for each measure in documented form so any figure can be traced and reproduced.
Identify and flag where a contractual measure cannot be produced accurately from available data, and escalate rather than approximate.
Support the quality governance review, which is the only measure in the agreement without an annual cap.
Produce the cost savings evidence, which is the measure the RenovoCare conversion program exists to satisfy.
Prepare performance content for operational reviews, client business reviews and program governance.
Track corrective action triggers and remediation status where a measure breaches its threshold.
Operational analysis:
Analyze scheduled maintenance (SM) and demand maintenance (DM) completion, response and resolution performance by site, platform, vendor and department.
Analyze first-time-fix, repeat-fault and aging work order patterns, and identify what is driving them.
Analyze self-perform versus vendor-performed volume and the cost difference, and support the conversion case.
Analyze capacity and workload distribution across sites and staff, and flag where load is unsustainable before it fails.
Support capital replacement and end-of-life analysis with failure, downtime and spend evidence.
Spend and commercial analysis:
Analyze service spending by site, vendor, platform and category, and explain variance against budget in operational terms.
Analyze the contract and entitlement position, including renewal timing, coverage gaps and coverage paid for and not used.
Support quote benchmarking and vendor performance comparison.
Provide the analysis behind change requests, scope changes and pricing discussions.
Analytical integrity:
Understand how the work is performed well enough to recognize a figure that cannot be true and investigate rather than publish it.
State the limitations of any analysis, including sample size, data gaps and known record defects affecting the result.
Distinguish correlation from cause and say which one an analysis supports.
Refuse to present a threshold rule or heuristic as a statistical conclusion.
Reconcile any figure appearing in more than one report so the program does not publish two different answers to the same question.
Working with the sites and functions:
Act as the named analytical contact for assigned Site Operations Managers.
Travel to assigned sites to understand how the work is actually performed and why the data looks the way it does.
Feed analytical findings back to the sites in a form they can act on, not only upward as reporting.
Work with the Master Data Analyst on record defects that are corrupting analysis, and with Sourcing and Payments on spend and contract data.
Specify and validate reporting and dashboard requirements. This role does not configure or develop the platform.
Quality, compliance and safety:
Meet GxP and client data integrity requirements, including traceability and change control on reported figures.
Support internal and client audits with traceable analysis and source data.
Follow client site safety and access requirements when on site.
Escort and vendor hosting when on site:
Escort is a standing expectation of every role on this program. When present at a client site, escort and host OEM and third-party personnel on request, regardless of whose scope the instrument sits in.
Confirm third-party personnel are inducted, badged, and compliant with client site access and safety requirements before they enter a laboratory.
Confirm the work performed matches what was authorized and the service record is complete before the third-party leaves site.
Escalate immediately where a third party arrives unannounced or attempts work outside the authorized scope.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in operational, service, performance or financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability to produce analysis that has been challenged and held up.
Strong spreadsheet capability including pivot, lookup and reconciliation techniques. SQL, Power BI, Tableau or comparable reporting tool experience preferred.
Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), enterprise asset management system or service management platform as a data source.
Experience working to contractual or regulated performance measures where the definition matters.
Demonstrated willingness to say that a number is wrong or cannot be produced, rather than publishing it.
Working knowledge of GxP requirements and data integrity expectations.
Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare or technical service environment preferred.
Education/Special Training:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, in a technical, scientific, business, finance or information discipline. Equivalent experience considered.
Training in GxP, data integrity and client site safety provided or required.
CMMS, reporting tool and platform training provided after hire.
Required Competencies:
Analytical Rigor - knows the difference between a pattern and a conclusion, and reports which one it is.
Intellectual Honesty - states the limitations of the analysis and will not publish a figure that cannot be traced.
Operational Understanding - knows how the work is performed well enough to spot a figure that cannot be true.
Curiosity - investigates why the number looks wrong instead of reformatting it.
Communication - explains an analytical finding to operations staff and to client leadership in terms each can act on.
Follow-through - closes out the finding rather than delivering the chart.
Independence - holds an unpopular conclusion when the data supports it.
Integrity - can admit mistakes, is direct and truthful, and acts in the best interest of clients, employees and Renovo.
Success Measures:
Contractual key performance indicator reporting delivered on time, accurate and traceable
Reported figures reconciled across reports, with no conflicting answers published
Data limitations stated on every analysis where they exist
Analytical findings acted on by the sites, not only received
Self-perform conversion and coverage change cases supported with evidence
Spend variance explained in operational terms
Capacity and workload risks flagged before they result in a performance failure
Audit outcomes on reported performance data
Site and client leadership feedback on the usefulness of the analysis
Safety Requirements:
Abide by and follow Renovo safety policies, procedures, and injury and illness prevention expectations.
Maintain a safe working environment for self and others when visiting customer sites, laboratories, offices, or operational environments.
Follow applicable customer site safety requirements, OSHA guidelines, and laboratory or facility-specific procedures as required.
Complete required safety training assignments on time.
Physical Requirements:
Predominantly remote, office-based work.
When on assigned client sites, presence in active laboratory environments including areas with biological, chemical, electrical and cryogenic hazards.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment when on site.
Travel approximately 10 to 20 percent, covering assigned sites, client reviews and program meetings.
Classification:
FLSA: Exempt
