About the Role We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Program Assistant – Youth Team to join our statewide team. The Youth Team currently support a range of programs including Next Step Plus (NSP), Extended Post Care Support (EPCS), Youth Housing and Reintegration Service (YHaRS), and Youth Justice & Employment Pathways – Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW). Working closely with the Manager of Specialised Programs and Program Managers , you will provide a broad range of administrative, financial and program support across these services. This is a varied role where you will support client referrals, service reviews, databases, and registers, while also managing invoices, payments, acquittals, and other financial processes. Your organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities will be key to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and program support across the Youth Team, including client referrals, service reviews and database management. Manage payments, invoices, acquittals and other finance-related tasks . Undertake bookkeeping and financial administration activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing. Maintain accurate and confidential client information, registers, and records. Coordinate regional resources including vehicles, ICT equipment, room bookings, petty cash and office requirements. Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, communication, and record management. Monitor changing service needs and contribute to improvements in how services are delivered. Provide practical support to Program Managers and teams to help ensure effective program operations. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all work complies with organisational policies, legislation, and funding requirements. About You You will be a highly organised and proactive professional with strong administration skills and confidence working with financial processes and information . You will bring: Strong administration, organisation, and time-management skills. Knowledge of invoicing, payments, bookkeeping and other financial administration tasks. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when managing financial and client information. The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Strong computer and written communication skills. Initiative, sound problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines. The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a remote environment. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people. Essential Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, welfare, business or a related field and/or relevant experience . Demonstrated experience in administration, including financial administration/bookkeeping tasks . Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Current full unrestricted Australian Driver Licence. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role). Benefits Monthly RDO .
