About Girls Inc. of Greater Miami Founded in 2018, Girls Inc. of Greater Miami is part of a national network that has been inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold for over 160 years. Our middle and high school programs expand opportunities for leadership, career exploration, and personal growth. They include: Girls Inc. Connect: a community workshop series that serves as the front door to Girls Inc. Short single sessions reach girls in Miami-Dade communities we do not yet serve, and connect each participant onward into an ongoing program. Bold Spaces: a program for middle school girls. Power Hour: a four year career readiness program for high school girls, delivered through Saturday workshops from October through May, industry mentorship, and a scaffolded sequence of workforce skills that leads to a paid summer internship. Our professionally trained staff provide mentorship, safe spaces, and programming that addresses the challenges girls face. We cultivate physically and emotionally safe environments where girls are encouraged to take risks, learn from experience, and grow. What a Typical Week Looks Like This role does not follow one fixed routine. Across a given week, the Program Facilitator may deliver Girls Inc. Connect, Bold Spaces, and Power Hour, each running on its own site, schedule, and group of girls, so the specific mix of sessions, locations, and logistics changes from week to week. A meaningful part of the role is logistics: gathering and transporting supplies between sites, confirming details with school and community contacts, and coordinating with guest speakers, mentors, and volunteers before they arrive. The Program Facilitator adjusts delivery and planning as sites and schedules shift, handling routine day-to-day changes independently while still raising safety concerns or larger problems to the Director of Programs. Schedule This is a school year position, running Fall 2026 through May or June 2027. Weekday afternoons and evenings, hours vary by site and program. Saturdays, primarily October through May, for Power Hour workshops. Additional dates for Girls Inc. Connect community sessions will be announced by site as new communities are added. Expected Hours Per Week Approximately 20 hours per week. Responsibilities Program Facilitation Facilitate middle and high school program sessions, including Girls Inc. Connect, Bold Spaces, and Power Hour. Lead Power Hour career development workshops on Saturdays from October through April. Use hands-on, interactive strategies that keep girls engaged and participating. Scaffold sessions so girls at different grade levels and skill levels can take part. Adapt delivery to the room without departing from the Girls Inc. curriculum. Supervision and Safety Set and reinforce Girls Inc. behavioral expectations. Follow emergency protocols and site safety procedures. Actively include every participant. Use emotion coaching and foster a growth mindset. Maintain a physically and emotionally safe space at every session. Program Coordination, Administration, and Logistics Serve as the point of coordination between Girls Inc. and each session’s school or community site contact, confirming space, schedule, and access ahead of time. Gather, organize, and transport program supplies and equipment across multiple sites, since sessions do not share a single home location the way an afterschool program does. Track and replenish supply inventory, flagging shortages before they affect a session. Coordinate logistics for guest speakers, mentors, and volunteers, including scheduling, materials, and day-of support. Support recruitment efforts for Girls Inc. Connect in communities we do not yet serve, and for Bold Spaces and Power Hour participant pipelines. Help coordinate Power Hour’s mentorship matches and the pathway to the paid summer internship. Adjust plans in real time when a site, group size, or schedule changes, and step in to cover whatever the week’s programming needs. Planning and Preparation Prepare session content and materials ahead of each program day. Set up and break down program spaces. Reflect on what worked in each session and adjust the next one. Participant Engagement and Partnership Build consistent relationships with participants and follow up on attendance gaps. Communicate with families about schedules, expectations, and participation. Work with school and community site contacts on logistics and space. Communication and Documentation Record daily attendance as instructed. Administer surveys and other data collection as required. Keep program records current and accurate across all three programs. Professional Expectations Participate in scheduled trainings and facilitator workshops. Receive coaching and feedback with openness. Apply trained strategies in subsequent sessions. Understand and follow all organizational policies and procedures. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent (60 hours of undergraduate coursework); Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience facilitating groups of middle or high school aged youth. Strong group facilitation and classroom management skills. Comfortable with ambiguity: able to adapt when a site, schedule, or plan changes with little notice, and willing to step in wherever the week’s programming needs it. Highly organized, with the ability to track supplies, schedules, and logistics across multiple sites and programs at once. Punctual, prepared, and able to run a session independently at a site. Proven written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Google Workspace and willingness to learn Girls Inc. program databases. Strong interpersonal skills with youth, families, school staff, and community partners. Commitment to the mission and values of Girls Inc. of Greater Miami. Valid Florida driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle for daily travel between program locations across Miami-Dade County. Availability for weekday afternoons and evenings, and Saturdays primarily October through May. Ability to pass and maintain a Level 2 background screening. Experience with career readiness, workforce, or college access programming, preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred.
