About EPMPoint
EPMPoint, Inc. is a digital transformation and enterprise solutions consulting firm, recognized as an SBA-certified 8(a) organization. As an official OnePlan Partner, Microsoft Solutions Partner, and Salesforce Consulting Partner, we help commercial and public sector enterprises bridge executive strategy and operational execution. We specialize in standing up modern Project Management Offices (PMOs), automating complex business workflows, and deploying cloud-native Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) systems.
Position Overview
EPMPoint is seeking an experienced PMO Consultant with 7–8+ years of progressive experience, where the core focus is deploying, configuring, and institutionalizing enterprise PMO tools specifically OnePlan, JIRA, Planner etc.
In this role, you will act as a PMO tool expert and project consultant leading client-facing implementations as well as internal strategic initiatives. Your primary focus will be designing and rolling out PPM solutions using OnePlan integrated with Microsoft Project, Planner, and Jira. Additionally, you will lead projects that touch the Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), the broader Microsoft 365 / Azure environment, and Salesforce ecosystems using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models.
Key Responsibilities1. PMO Tool Deployment & Configuration (Core Focus)
- Lead end-to-end client rollouts, configuration, and administration of OnePlan as the enterprise PPM platform.
- Configure and customize core OnePlan modules:
- Portfolio Management: Intake workflows, business case scoring, prioritization, and stage-gate governance.
- Resource Planning: Capacity vs. demand analysis, role-based forecasting, and resource scheduling.
- Financial Tracking: Budget planning, actuals vs. forecast, CapEx/OpEx breakdown, and rate card modeling.
- Integrate OnePlan with work execution tools, establishing reliable bi-directional data sync with Microsoft Project (Web/Desktop), Microsoft Planner, and Jira.
- Configure Jira projects, custom issue types, workflows, boards, and roadmaps to ensure execution data aggregates accurately into executive portfolio views.
- Establish PMO standards, intake life cycles, portfolio health metrics, and executive reporting cadences.
2. Technical Consulting & Solutions Alignment
- Serve as the functional and technical authority on configuring low-code PMO components using the Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Design and configure automated approval workflows, notification triggers, and data handoffs connecting PMO systems with Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.
- Build executive dashboards, portfolio KPI rollups, and resource utilization reports using Power BI connected to OnePlan and Jira datasets.
- Author PMO playbooks, administrative runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Plan and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), administrator handoffs, and interactive end-user training to drive platform adoption.
3. Project Management & Delivery Governance
- Manage full lifecycle delivery across client engagements and internal initiatives.
- Apply and adapt Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models to meet client culture, statements of work (SOW), and contractual requirements.
- Own delivery mechanics: scope baseline, WBS, sprint backlogs, release planning, budget/effort tracking, risk mitigation, and milestone sign-offs.
- Lead steering committee reviews, recurring client status meetings, and Agile ceremonies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 7–8+ years of progressive project management, IT consulting, and PMO tool deployment experience across external client-facing and corporate initiatives.
- Core Tool Deployment Expertise:
- OnePlan: Proven hands-on experience designing, configuring, rolling out, or administering OnePlan (Portfolio, Resource, and Financial modules).
- Project Management Tools: Advanced capability in configuring and utilizing Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, and Jira (custom workflows, permissions, and roadmaps).
- Integration Experience: Practical experience connecting operational task boards (Jira, Planner) into strategic portfolio rollups (OnePlan, Microsoft Project).
- Technical Acumen:
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Familiarity with project environments centered on the Microsoft stack (M365, Azure) or Salesforce.
- Methodology Mastery: Deep practical experience running projects under both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall/Predictive models.
- Certifications (Must possess at least one or more active credentials):
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Agile / Scrum Credentials (e.g., PSM I/II, CSM, PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist)
- Platform certifications (e.g., OnePlan Partner/Specialist Training, Microsoft Power Platform / M365, Atlassian Certified, or Salesforce Certified Administrator) are a strong plus.
- Consulting Skills: Excellent client-facing communication, stakeholder facilitation, executive presentation, and change management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior consulting experience in a systems integration or technology professional services firm.
- Experience developing portfolio-level dashboards and reporting models using Power BI.
- Experience migrating organizations from spreadsheets or legacy PM tools into unified OnePlan/Microsoft PPM ecosystems.
