Contract Programme Manager

Location: Hybrid Midlands / Remote

Contract Length: 12 Months Initial Contract

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Contract Programme Manager to join a busy and growing transformation function, supporting a portfolio of strategic IT and business change initiatives.

This is a hands-on programme leadership role for someone who excels in programme governance, stakeholder management and delivery assurance. You will work across multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are controlled, governed and delivered effectively while enabling senior leaders to focus on strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee governance across a diverse portfolio of IT and business change programmes.
• Drive programme reporting, RAID management and executive updates.
• Ensure project managers and delivery teams maintain programme standards and governance requirements.
• Monitor delivery progress and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies.
• Facilitate steering groups, governance forums and status reviews.
• Support large-scale ERP and transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams across IT, Operations, Supply Chain and Business functions.
• Escalate critical issues and ensure appropriate resolution paths are followed.
• Maintain portfolio visibility and planning across current and future initiatives.
• Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and programme leadership.

Essential Experience

• Supply chain & Logistics sector experience
• Proven experience operating as a Programme Manager within complex environments.
• Strong programme governance and PMO leadership capability.
• Demonstrable experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to challenge constructively and drive delivery accountability.
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management experience.
• Experience building executive-level reporting and governance frameworks.

Desirable Experience

• ERP programme delivery exposure.
• Smartsheet expertise.
• Business transformation and operational change experience.
• Experience supporting international or multi-site organisations.
