Men are dying too young – and it doesn’t have to be that way.
Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember we’re on a mission to change the face of men’s health by making it easier for men to talk, act and live longer healthier lives.
Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a purpose-fueled crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling.
DO GOOD. Work for Movember.
Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it):
The Men’s Health Community Fund is a partnership between Movember, the Department of Health and Social Care, and People’s Health Trust, investing in community organisations across England to improve young men’s mental health, help-seeking, and social connectedness. As Program Manager, you’ll be the operational engine that makes Movember’s part of this Fund work.
Day to day, you’ll be the main point of contact for Movember’s funded partner organisations, supporting them through mobilisation and delivery, tracking progress across the portfolio, and working with partners to identify and resolve challenges before they become problems. You’ll keep plans, milestones, budgets, risks, and reporting on track, coordinate shared activity with DHSC and People’s Health Trust, and ensure the Director always has a clear and current picture of how delivery is tracking across the program.
A distinctive and genuinely exciting part of this role is leading the MHCF Learning Network: a community of funded organisations working together to strengthen delivery, build capability and connections, generate shared learning about what works for young men, and help that learning reach the wider men’s health field. You’ll plan and facilitate a purposeful mix of remote and in-person activity, lead a baseline needs and assets assessment, and create the conditions for honest exchange about what is and isn’t working across the cohort.
You’ll work closely with the Social Impact Manager on monitoring, evaluation, and learning, with the Grants Management and Finance teams on grant administration, and with colleagues across Policy and Advocacy, Marketing and Communications, and the Movember Institute to ensure partners experience a coherent and well-coordinated program. You’ll also connect the program with the parallel Communities research program where agendas, learning questions, and partner relationships overlap.
The Director leads the strategy, senior relationships, and external engagement. Your job is to turn that direction into effective, well-run delivery where partners feel supported, issues are caught early, and learning continuously feeds back into the work. Based in London, full-time, fixed term contract.
No Moustache Required - but the following are:
Strong experience managing programmes and/or grant portfolios involving multiple community or delivery partners.
Experience working in men’s health, mental health, young people, fatherhood, health inequalities, or community-based prevention.
Experience designing or facilitating communities of practice, learning networks, or cohort-based programmes.
Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust with community organisations while maintaining clear expectations and follow-through.
Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, partners, milestones, budgets, and dependencies.
Experience in grant management, partner reporting, and monitoring delivery and expenditure.
Strong facilitation skills and experience creating spaces where organisations can learn, collaborate, and solve problems together.
A practical learning mindset: curious about what is and isn’t working, and able to spot themes, needs, and connections across a portfolio.
Experience working alongside monitoring, evaluation, and learning colleagues and supporting organisations to engage with learning and evaluation.
Good judgement and confidence in resolving day-to-day issues while recognising when something needs to be escalated.
Clear and concise communication skills, including the ability to bring together information for programme updates, reporting, and senior stakeholders.
Commitment to equity and to ensuring community and lived experience perspectives meaningfully inform programme delivery and learning.
Willingness and ability to visit community partners at their project sites across England, and to represent the work at Movember community and campaign events, particularly in November.
Not Mission Critical - but for extra bonus points:
Experience working with grassroots or voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations, with an understanding of the realities of community-based delivery.
Experience supporting organisational capacity building, peer learning, or partnership development.
Understanding of the health and public health landscape in England.
GOOD CAUSE:
Working for Movember, you’ll help turn ideas (and moustaches) into millions for men’s health. Every bit we raise changes the face of men’s health by funding research, improving treatments, and supporting programs that help save lives.
We’re even shaping government policies on men’s health worldwide. By meeting directly with lawmakers, and helping them understand how more investment on men’s health benefits not just men, but all the communities they serve.
GOOD VIBES:
We love weekends. That’s why our Fridays finish early for nine months of the year. But we also love our office vibe. Because here, it always feels like something big is about to happen. Be it an office-wide surprise birthday party (with cake!) or an open invite for all to hit the pub.
Come the hairy season, the energy cranks up. We’re talking celebrity visits. Live stunts on-site for TV and radio. And when we hit a fundraising milestone, the office gong might even go off. But, for those who prefer calm, no probs: hybrid working means you work where you feel best.
GOOD CREW:
Spoiler alert: we’re a no-ego, all-impact crew. That means everyone gets a say, from new starters to those leading the charge. Collaboration over hierarchies, curiosity over rigid process. And it’s true across all our offices worldwide. We work as one, sharing expertise and celebrating wins. All in the name of making the biggest impact across the globe. United, we Mo.
We offer:
Hybrid/Flexible working – we offer our team a split of home and office working
13 weeks paid Parental Leave and 6 weeks annual leave
Health Cash Plan – to support the costs of everyday healthcare needs (dental, optical, wellbeing)
An Employee Assistance Programme offering face to face counselling, plus legal and financial support
A fun stimulating and collaborating culture, with company events
Service awards after 3, 5 and 10 year
Committees to join – Culture team, Equity Diversity & Inclusion
Bike to work scheme
Half day Fridays for 9 months of the year
Being different is how we started. And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health. So, we know the power of diverse experiences, skills and perspectives.
Movember is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community and workplace - a place where we can all be ourselves, and each have the equal opportunity to succeed and be recognised for our unique contribution. We value the experiences, skills and perspectives of all individuals and actively encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds. We make recruitment decisions based on applicants’ skills, experience and knowledge, ensuring all applicants are treated fairly.
Do you want to DO GOOD?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.
