Position Summary

The Program Manager, Epidemiology & Analysis, is part of the epidemiology and data science unit and manages a portfolio of Research and Evaluation studies and data processes. The types of projects managed by this role include evaluations, surveys, internal and external reporting, retrospective data analyses, and epidemiologically focused projects. The position manages multiple projects and works with the Research & Evaluation team to support organizational strategies and priorities, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.

Core Job Responsibilities

1. Manage research and data-focused evaluation project planning, development, timelines, and implementation, including adherence to ethical and compliance guidelines, in collaboration with other researchers, evaluators, and analysts.
2. Develop quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments and their supports, including surveys, interview guides, and data management tools. Includes using CareWare, REDCap, Microsoft Forms, Qualtrics, and other tools to monitor and maintain data collection systems for participant tracking and data quality.
3. Conduct literature reviews to justify appropriate methods to answer research and evaluation questions and identify assumptions that underlie methodologies and study designs.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary members to produce data, analysis, visualizations, and contextualization for various needs such as progress reports, presentations, and dashboards.
5. Establish, optimize, and identify opportunities to improve data management and data processes via workflow review and optimization, data quality checks, CQM, PDSA, iterative feedback loops, database error troubleshooting, and import/export problem resolution.
6. Maintain and improve data process documentation, including data process mapping and the development of data dictionaries and codebooks; ensure scripts are appropriately documented.
7. Produce and delegate project-specific data and reporting for internal use and for external funders or other stakeholders; submit and upload accurate, complete, and timely data reports.
8. Manage data using Microsoft Excel, REDCap, R & RStudio, SPSS, SAS, or other software, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data files by conducting data validation, data cleaning, and de-duplication, as appropriate.
9. Manage Epic electronic health record data acquisition; collaborate with IS staff to develop reports and data sets from Epic and conduct limited chart review.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Preferences

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of related experience, preferably in program evaluation, academic or clinical research, or healthcare required.
• Excellent data management skills
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in SPSS or R coding/programming.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with data visualization in Power BI or other software.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with electronic health records (Epic preferred).
• Familiarity with database applications such as CareWare, SPARS and REDCap
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suit, including Excel, required.
• Experience with human subjects’ research and information sharing, including PHI and HIPAA compliance required.
• Proficiency in databases, REDCap or other data collection software required.
• Fluent in Spanish and English preferred

The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
