Projec Engineer / Senior Engineer

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Project Engineer / Senior Engineer at Daily Knowledge Labs. The role involves leading and executing engineering projects from concept through delivery, including requirements analysis, technical design, and implementation planning. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop technical documentation, and ensure that solutions meet performance, quality, and safety standards. Daily responsibilities may include reviewing designs, performing calculations, coordinating with stakeholders, managing timelines, and monitoring project risks and dependencies. The individual will also contribute to process improvements, mentor team members when appropriate, and support continuous refinement of engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in engineering principles (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil, software, or related discipline) and experience applying them to real-world projects.
• Proficiency in project planning and coordination, including requirements gathering, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, create or review engineering drawings and documentation, and perform relevant calculations or analyses.
• Comfort working with digital collaboration tools and remote workflows, including documentation, communication, and version control platforms.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Experience in mentoring, technical review, or leadership responsibilities is preferred for Senior Engineer level.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field or closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate across time zones as needed.
