🚀 Broad finance exposure in a growing international property business

Role Overview

A growing international property business is looking for a Project Accountant to join its remote finance team, with exposure to both day-to-day accounting and wider finance projects.

Reporting to the CFO or Financial Controller, you will maintain entity accounts, manage group accounts payable, and support cash reporting. You will also contribute to finance systems implementation and improvements that reduce recurring manual work.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain entity accounts in Xero, reconcile balances and prepare records for month-end close.
• Manage group supplier invoices, allocate costs across entities and resolve payment queries.
• Track cost savings across the group and record when they take effect.
• Consolidate cash balances to support group cash reporting.
• Complete accounting and compliance documentation as required.
• Support senior finance leaders with project work and changing operational priorities.
• Assist with finance systems implementation and automate recurring accounting tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

• B.Com in Accounting, completed SAIPA, CIMA or SAICA articles with 0–2 years’ post-articles accounting experience
• Proficiency in Xero, with strong Excel skills and confidence using MS Office or Google equivalents.
• Interest in applying AI and automation to finance processes.
• Experience using an accounts payable automation platform is an advantage.

Salary and Benefits
