About the job

Lead Projects That Make a Difference for Local Communities around the world!

At GovernmentFrameworks.com, we help local governments work smarter.

Our mission is simple: to improve governance through the use of modern technology and services.

Every day, we work with municipalities across Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand to modernise processes, automate manual work, improve transparency, and help governments deliver better outcomes for their communities.

When we help a municipality successfully implement a better system or process, the impact goes beyond the project itself. It gives local government teams better tools, stronger processes, and more time to focus on the communities they serve.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who wants to be part of that mission. This is a fully remote position, with working hours aligned to North American business hours. Candidates must be comfortable working remotely and collaborating with clients and team members across multiple time zones.

This Isn’t Just About Managing a Project Plan

Successful implementation takes more than keeping tasks and dates up to date.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of the outcome.

Someone who can bring structure to complexity, keep clients and internal teams aligned, spot risks before they become problems, and maintain momentum when priorities, dependencies, or circumstances change.

You’ll manage client implementation projects from handover through to completion, coordinating across clients, consultants, developers, product owners, training, support, account management, and other internal teams.

You’ll be responsible for keeping projects aligned with agreed scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations while giving stakeholders clear visibility of where things stand.

If your natural instinct is to ask:

“What could stop us from delivering this successfully, and what do we need to do about it now?”

then you’ll probably thrive here.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

As a Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the successful coordination and delivery of assigned client implementations.

You’ll:

  • Manage implementation projects from handover through to successful completion.
  • Establish clear project objectives, plans, milestones, responsibilities, and delivery expectations.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets, allocated hours, scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and project health.
  • Identify potential delays, blockers, resource constraints, and scope concerns early and drive appropriate action.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Build trusted client relationships through transparency, accountability, and effective expectation management.
  • Coordinate activities across Product Owners, consulting, development, training, support, account management, and other delivery teams.
  • Ensure priorities, requirements, dependencies, deliverables, and timelines are clearly understood.
  • Identify and manage project risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are documented and actioned.
  • Identify scope variations and ensure changes are appropriately documented and approved before additional work proceeds.
  • Monitor project budgets and allocated hours and escalate potential variances before they materially affect delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, status updates, actions, decisions, approvals, risks, issues, and client communications.
  • Provide clear and timely project reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support organisational change and user adoption activities to help clients achieve successful implementation outcomes.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to improving our implementation methodologies, templates, and project processes.

  • You’ll Love This Role If You…

    • Take ownership rather than waiting for someone else to solve a problem.
    • Enjoy bringing structure and clarity to complex projects.
    • Naturally think ahead and identify what could affect delivery before it becomes an issue.
    • Are comfortable having clear conversations about scope, timelines, priorities, and expectations.
    • Communicate proactively rather than waiting for stakeholders to ask for an update.
    • Can build strong relationships while still holding people accountable for commitments.
    • Remain calm and solutions-focused when projects don’t go according to plan.
    • Are confident coordinating people across different teams, disciplines, and time zones.
    • Understand that good project management is about outcomes, not simply maintaining a project plan.
    • Pay close attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
    • Look for ways to improve how projects are delivered rather than accepting “that’s how we’ve always done it.”
    • Enjoy working in a growing organisation where processes continue to evolve.

Experience That Will Help You Succeed

We’re interested in people who can demonstrate successful project delivery and strong judgement, rather than candidates who simply know project management terminology.

Experience in the following areas will help:

    • Project management within software, technology, consulting, digital transformation, or professional services environments.
    • Managing multiple client-facing projects simultaneously.
    • Managing project scope, schedules, budgets, allocated hours, risks, issues, and dependencies.
    • Coordinating cross-functional teams and resources.
    • Working directly with clients and managing stakeholder expectations.
    • Preparing project plans, status reports, risk registers, actions, and project documentation.
    • Identifying and managing scope variations and change.
    • Supporting organisational change and user adoption.
    • Microsoft 365, including Teams and SharePoint.
    • Project management platforms such as ClickUp or similar tools.
    • Working with municipal, government, or public-sector organisations.

A recognised Project Management certification is considered an advantage, but practical experience successfully delivering projects is equally important.

    Why Government Frameworks?

At Government Frameworks, you’ll join a global team of people who genuinely care about making a difference.

    • Making a Difference: Create meaningful impact and remain agile.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with clients across multiple countries, contribute to meaningful digital transformation projects, improve the way we deliver implementations, and help local governments achieve better outcomes for their communities.

As part of a growing organisation, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve processes, expand your capabilities, and grow as the organisation continues to evolve.
