Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive, organized Project Coordinator to support the delivery of commercial aviation technology and professional-services projects. This early-career role works closely with Project Managers and delivery teams to coordinate activities, maintain accurate project information, track commitments, and help ensure work progresses according to established schedules and expectations.
This position is well suited for an organized, proactive professional who communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, and wants to grow into broader project-management responsibility. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong follow-through, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a willingness to take initiative. This position offers exposure to project planning, financial tracking, risk management, customer communication, and project governance, with opportunities to develop greater project-management responsibility over time
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate meetings, document decisions and commitments, and proactively follow up to ensure assigned actions are completed.
• Maintain accurate project plans, milestone trackers, and RAID logs while identifying missing information, inconsistencies, and potential delivery concerns.
• Monitor deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines, identify potential delays, and help drive timely resolution with responsible team members.
• Assist with resource coordination, time and expense information, project financial tracking, invoicing documentation, and change records.
• Support testing, training, implementation-readiness, and customer communication activities.
• Update project-management systems and tools and maintain accurate, timely project records.
• Communicate directly with project teams and customers, independently resolve routine coordination issues, and escalate concerns with relevant context and potential solutions.
• Help prepare internal and customer-facing status materials, presentations, and meeting documentation.
• Follow established PMO, quality, security, and customer processes and identify opportunities to improve project coordination, documentation, reporting, and team efficiency.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, aviation, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
· One or more years of professional experience in project coordination, business operations, customer support, aviation, or a related environment.
· Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and time-management skills.
· Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with customers and cross-functional teams.
· Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to follow assignments through to completion with limited supervision
· Ability to recognize problems, ask thoughtful questions, gather relevant information, and recommend practical next steps
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn project-management and collaboration tools.
· Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Glastonbury, Connecticut, and travel locally when required.
· Ability to pass required background investigation and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting aviation, aerospace, software, consulting, or other technical projects.
• Familiarity with project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, budgeting, or change control.
• Exposure to Agile project delivery or tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or comparable platforms.
• CAPM certification or coursework in project management.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in Glastonbury, Connecticut. The role follows a normal business schedule and may require occasional work at customer or company sites.
Compensation
The target salary range for this position is $60,000–$80,000 annually, with individual offers based on each candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. Consistent with our merit-based pay practices, we may consider higher compensation for candidates who can contribute beyond the role’s stated scope and take on broader responsibilities.
