Are you passionate about events, hospitality and creating unforgettable experiences? Do you enjoy organising, keeping track of lots of moving parts and seeing a project come to life?
At Ovation Netherlands, we are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team in Amsterdam. You’ll help organise corporate events and programmes for international clients coming to the Netherlands for meetings, congresses, study programmes and incentives. From finding the right supplier to being there when the event happens, you’ll be involved in making it all come together.
What will you do?
No two projects are quite the same. Working closely with our (Senior) Project Managers and fellow Project Coordinators, you will support larger projects while gradually taking ownership of smaller projects yourself.
You will:
- Request quotations and negotiate with suppliers and partners.
- Help develop creative and practical proposals for our clients.
- Prepare detailed event schedules and operational plans.
- Coordinate smaller projects from A to Z.
- Provide on-site support during events and programmes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our supplier network.
- Keep an eye on both the operational and financial side of your projects.
- Participate actively in project meetings and event debriefs.
- Collect client feedback and turn insights into improvements.
- Help us make responsible choices by considering sustainable venues, suppliers, materials and waste reduction throughout the event process.
And because events don’t always happen between 9 and 5, you’ll occasionally travel or work outside regular office hours when a project requires it.
Who are you?
You don’t need to know everything yet. This is a coordinator role, so we’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes ownership and enjoys developing within the events industry.
You:
- Have completed a relevant higher professional education programme (HBO) or have an equivalent level of working and thinking.
- Have 1-2 years experience in the Meetings & Events or hospitality industry.
- Are organised and comfortable managing several tasks at the same time.
- Keep your cool when things get busy or plans change.
- Are proactive and take responsibility for getting things done.
- Enjoy working collaboratively while also being able to work independently.
- Have strong Microsoft Office and general digital skills.
- Are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- Are flexible and willing to travel and occasionally work evenings or weekends.
- Are comfortable using approved digital and AI tools responsibly as part of your work.

- With 32 holidays (based on a fulltime contract, 7 days appointed by MCI) you will have enough time to relax.
- Room for new ideas and initiatives. If you don’t try, you don’t know if it could work, so let’s try new ideas. We are open to everything!
- A vitality program that includes 1 free hour per week for personal wellness activities, a tax-free gym membership, and more!

- You will receive an email that we received your application in good order
