Responsibilities
The Project Delivery Manager serves as the organizational hub for the Travel Technology team, helping ensure projects, enhancements, operational initiatives, and business priorities move smoothly from concept through completion. Acting as the team's central coordinator, this role maintains visibility across multiple workstreams, facilitates communication among stakeholders, tracks progress against key milestones, and helps remove obstacles that could impact delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who excels at organization, follow-through, communication, and bringing structure to complex initiatives. The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for keeping teams aligned, ensuring commitments are met, and making certain everyone has the information they need to execute successfully.
Responsiblites
Project & Initiative Coordination
- Coordinate project activities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure key dates and commitments are communicated to stakeholders.
- Track action items, decisions, open issues, and project dependencies.
- Ensure project priorities remain aligned with business objectives.
- Provide visibility into project progress and upcoming activities.
Communication & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as a primary point of coordination between business teams, Travel Technology, Operations, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and working sessions.
- Prepare and distribute meeting notes, action items, and project updates.
- Ensure stakeholders receive timely communication regarding project progress and upcoming activities.
- Help manage expectations and maintain alignment among project participants.
Organization & Accountability
- Monitor project tasks and follow up with owners to ensure commitments are completed.
- Identify potential delays, conflicts, or roadblocks and escalate as needed.
- Maintain project documentation and organizational records.
- Track outstanding decisions and ensure appropriate follow-up occurs.
- Support leadership with project reporting and status updates.
Readiness & Implementation Support
- Coordinate activities required to prepare teams for new processes, tools, or business initiatives.
- Ensure documentation, training materials, communications, and support resources are completed before implementation.
- Assist in coordinating user training and knowledge transfer activities.
- Support rollout planning and readiness activities across impacted teams.
Post-Implementation & Operational Support
- Monitor implementation progress following launch activities.
- Track post-launch issues and coordinate follow-up activities.
- Support stabilization efforts and communication during transition periods.
- Document lessons learned and improvement opportunities for future initiatives.
Travel Technology Coordination
Support initiatives involving a variety of travel-related technologies and business processes, including:
- Concur Travel
- Atriis
- Deem
- Kayak for Business
- Sabre
- Amadeus
- Compleat
- iQCX
- Mid-office systems
- Automation platforms
- Traveler servicing tools
- Operational workflows and business process improvements
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in project coordination, administration, operations support, implementation support, or a related role.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a Travel Management Company (TMC), travel technology organization, or business operations environment.
- Familiarity with project coordination tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Monday.com, Asana, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and business initiatives.
- Exposure to travel booking, fulfillment, operational support, or technology implementation processes.
Success Measures
- Projects and initiatives remain organized, visible, and on track.
- Stakeholders have clear visibility into status, priorities, and responsibilities.
- Action items and commitments are completed on schedule.
- Project communications are timely, accurate, and effective.
- Training, documentation, and readiness activities are completed before implementation.
- Risks and roadblocks are identified early and escalated appropriately.
- Team members and stakeholders view the Project Delivery Manager as a reliable resource who keeps work moving forward.
