About the role

Connections Arts Centre (CAC) is seeking a Project Lead to support the development and lead the delivery of our new Accessible Creative Admin Apprenticeship.

The apprenticeship is a paid learning and employment pathway for creatives with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergent creatives. Two apprentices will gain practical, supported experience within a working arts organisation.

The Project Lead will work with existing team members to build on an existing programme framework to finalise the curriculum, develop accessible learning resources and lead the day-to-day delivery of the apprenticeship.

The programme will focus on practical, experiential and person-centred learning through CAC programmes, exhibitions, administration, public engagement and activities with cultural partners.

The Project Lead will work closely with the CAC Programme Lead, Artist Advocate and wider CAC team.

Key responsibilities

The Project Lead will:

  • Support apprentices to take part in CAC programmes, administration, public engagement and four exhibitions.
  • Support the development and finalisation of the apprenticeship curriculum and accessible learning resources.
  • Plan and deliver weekly learning and workplace activities with the apprentices.
  • Adapt learning activities to reflect individual access, communication and learning needs.
  • Coordinate learning opportunities with CAC’s cultural partners.
  • Work with the Artist Advocate and wider CAC team to ensure the programme is accessible, supportive and person-centred.
  • Monitor apprentice development and contribute to programme evaluation and reporting.

About you

Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or neurodivergent people, accessible learning, inclusive arts practice or supported employment would be an advantage.

You should be collaborative, organised and adaptable, with the confidence to lead day-to-day programme delivery while working closely with the wider CAC team.

We are looking for someone with interest in teaching/facilitation and creative or community engagement who is comfortable supporting practical, hands-on learning.

Our approach

The apprenticeship curriculum provides a framework for learning rather than a fixed syllabus. Activities will be adapted to reflect each apprentice’s strengths, interests, communication preferences, access needs and pace of learning.

The aim is to support apprentices to develop meaningful skills, confidence and independence while gaining real experience of working within an arts organisation.

How to apply

Please send your CV (no more than two pages) and cover letter outlining your relevant experience and interest in the role to CA@connectionsartscentre.ie

Application deadline: 30/10/2026

Proposed start date: November/December 2026

Applications will be reviewed and interviews may take place before the closing date. We reserve the right to make an appointment before the closing date if a suitable candidate is identified, so early application is encouraged.

Due to the volume of applications expected, we may not be able to respond individually to unsuccessful applicants.
