As a Professional Services Project Manager, you will take full ownership of end-to-end software implementations, delivering Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE corporate tax and e-invoicing solutions to multinational clients across Greater China. You will serve as the trusted advisor and strategic bridge between client executives, partner consulting teams, and our global implementation specialists. By combining robust project governance with enterprise technology expertise, you will lead high-performing teams, navigate complex system integrations, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
In this opportunity as a Professional Services Project Manager, you will:
- Drive End-to-End Project Delivery: Own the complete project lifecycle from initiation and scoping through to cutover and post-implementation review, ensuring all deliverables meet defined scope, quality, and milestone commitments.
- Lead Client Governance & Engagement: Direct project teams and run client workshops to align expectations, manage stakeholder relationships, and serve as the primary escalation point for client leadership and internal teams.
- Bridge Global & Local Teams: Act as the vital link between local on-site clients and overseas implementation teams, ensuring seamless cross-border communication, resource alignment, and knowledge sharing.
- Proactively Manage Risks & Issues: Identify delivery risks, technical roadblocks, and scope changes early; formulate effective mitigation strategies and clearly communicate impact to all key stakeholders.
- Manage Financials & Utilization KPIs: Oversee project budgets, expenditure tracking, and revenue recognition while driving high resource utilization and operational efficiency across your engagement portfolio.
- Mentor & Develop Talent: Supervise project consultants, provide functional guidance, delegate authority where appropriate, and cultivate a continuous improvement culture within the practice.
- Ensure Transparent Reporting: Maintain regular, rigorous project health updates, executive status reports, and project documentation across client and internal leadership.
Required Qualifications
You are an ideal fit for the Professional Services Project Manager role if your experience includes:
- 10+ years of enterprise project management and consulting delivery experience, with a proven track record supporting globally operating multinational clients.
- Professional background in enterprise software consulting, Big 4, or system integrators with hands-on experience in ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle), supply chain, or finance/tax technology implementations.
- Strong technical and functional comprehension of system architecture design, data integration, and indirect tax/e-invoicing workflows.
- Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple complex projects, tight deadlines, and competing priorities while meeting revenue and utilization targets.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical requirements across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Professional fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken) to effectively manage local client and global team interactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for on-site customer engagements, with flexibility to support critical business cutover events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP / PMI) or equivalent project management certification.
- 8+ years of dedicated experience delivering core ERP implementations or cloud-based (SaaS) integration projects.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity integrating mainstream Chinese enterprise tax and e-invoicing platforms (such as Golden Tax System, SAP, Oracle, Baiwang Cloud, Aisino, Yonyou, or Kingdee).
- Prior working knowledge of Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE platforms (e.g., OITD, Determination Anywhere, Global Trade Management).
