The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and business strategy. This role manages project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications while supporting team governance and portfolio processes. The Project Manager drives operational improvements that enhance quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction, and collaborates with teams and individuals from both ASQ and its affiliate companies to deliver successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in leading projects using predictive, adaptive, and hybrid methodologies, with a proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and drive results. PMP or equivalent certification and experience collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones is also a plus. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 -$100,000/year. Any extended offer is based on the candidate's experience and overall fit for the role.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes project plans from initiation to closing, including budget management, schedule management, resource management, and end user management.
  • Develops and maintains project assets including schedules, risk management logs, decision logs, task tracking tools, dashboards, and automations to create real-time reporting tools.
  • Participates in PMO project selection, prioritization, governance, and risk management processes.
  • Works with functional managers to ensure that all required data for decision making is complete and available.
  • Plans and implements key projects to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity by reducing waste or reducing variation, resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for business process optimization, process re-engineering and process design to achieve business goals.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and managing requirements that support the delivery of the assigned initiatives.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Hybrid Office Environment with Tuesdays & Wednesdays in office at the Milwaukee Headquarters location.

Bring Your Best: Position Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with project management using a combination of agile and waterfall frameworks
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience using Smartsheet or other similar project management tool
  • Or an equivalent combination
  • Must be able to comply with attendance and timeliness policies.
  • This role is not eligible for U.S. immigration sponsorship (e.g., STEM OPT, TN, H-1B, or other work visa).

ASQ is conveniently situated in downtown Milwaukee, immediately adjacent to major freeway exits and the robust downtown economy. The Avenue MKE and Riverwalk access provides our employees easy indoor and outdoor access to shopping, restaurants, and coffee shops. Our office space is in a historic building incorporating newly designed workstations, an option for sit/stand desks, and community and collaboration space. We also offer a hybrid work environment that offers staff the option of working from home up to 3 days per week.
