About the opportunity

Blue Collar Scholars manages residential construction and improvement projects in the

Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. We are seeking an experienced remote Project

Manager to own customer communication, subcontractor execution, quality verification, and

profitability from assignment through closeout.

Work arrangement

Fully remote international independent-contractor engagement, aligned with U.S. Eastern Time

business hours. No routine U.S. jobsite travel. Engagement terms and compensation are

determined by agreement and applicable local requirements.

What you will do

• Lead multiple residential renovation and improvement projects simultaneously.

• Communicate directly with U.S. homeowners and subcontractors every workday during active

construction.

• Sequence trades, confirm attendance, manage materials and schedules, and resolve delays.

• Inspect workmanship remotely using detailed photos, measurements, levels, video calls, and

inspection checkpoints; require corrections.

• Negotiate subcontractor labor and material costs, evaluate direct material purchasing, and

protect job gross margin.

• Maintain accurate Buildertrend documentation and drive final customer acceptance and

payment.

What we are looking for

• Direct responsibility for construction execution, ideally U.S. residential remodeling.

• Excellent spoken and written English; C1 preferred, B2 considered with strong live

assessment.

• Ability to challenge subcontractors professionally and manage difficult customer

conversations.

• Excellent organization, construction judgment, and comfort with technology.

• Architectural or engineering education is helpful but not a substitute for construction project

ownership.
