Help shape how a complex, cross functional transformation comes together.

This Project Manager will play a key role within the NEXT PMO, partnering closely with the Head of NEXT PMO to translate strategy into disciplined execution. You’ll help build and evolve the governance, operating rhythms, integrated roadmap, and executive reporting that keep multiple workstreams aligned and moving forward.

This is an opportunity for a project management professional who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, connecting the dots across teams, and turning program activity into clear insights for senior leaders. You’ll have broad exposure across the organization and the opportunity to influence how the PMO operates as the program evolves.

Job Requirements

  • Help shape and evolve the NEXT PMO, partnering with the Head of NEXT PMO to strengthen the framework, operating model, governance structure, and tools that enable successful execution.
  • Connect strategy to execution by managing an integrated roadmap across multiple workstreams, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and critical-path activities remain visible and actively managed.
  • Create clarity across complex initiatives by connecting teams, identifying cross-workstream dependencies, surfacing risks early, and driving appropriate follow-through and accountability.
  • Establish strong governance and operating rhythms, including key checkpoints, decision rights, RACI structures, standardized templates, and PMO routines aligned with Citizens Transformation Office practices.
  • Bring the program story to life for senior leaders through executive-ready reporting, program scorecards, dashboards, quarterly updates, and concise narratives that highlight progress, priorities, risks, and decisions.
  • Drive productive PMO routines by ensuring discussions result in clear decisions, ownership, actions, and timely follow-through.
  • Partner across NEXT workstreams and functional teams, influencing without direct authority and helping stakeholders work through risks, dependencies, competing priorities, and decisions.
  • Continuously improve how the PMO operates, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen governance, and provide greater visibility into program health and execution.
  • Leverage tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Excel to manage integrated plans, monitor progress and dependencies, and provide actionable insights into delivery.

Qualifications

  • Progressive project or program management experience, ideally within retail banking, branch operations, technology, workforce transformation, or large-scale operating model change.
  • Experience helping establish or mature PMO governance, operating cadences, integrated roadmaps, and executive reporting.
  • Strong ability to take a complex, multi-workstream initiative and create structure, clarity, accountability, and forward momentum.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and constructively challenge, escalate, and resolve issues when necessary.
  • Experience managing interconnected milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and delivery commitments across multiple teams.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, along with experience using SharePoint and project or portfolio management platforms such as Jira or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling messages for senior leaders.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with the judgment to know when to drive, when to influence, and when to escalate.
