Datassist is a payroll service provider and payroll technology company serving close to 1,000 clients in Türkiye. We deliver end-to-end payroll outsourcing on our own software and modules, including the Dakika payroll calculation engine, Agentic Payroll, Forecast (HR budget management), Incentives, SDP, Advance, Leave, Overtime and e-Vizite. We also offer local and global EOR, social security (SGK) consulting, payroll audit and payroll training. We serve companies of all industries, focusing on organizations with 250+ employees.

The role

We are looking for a project manager to own payroll transition, implementation, integration and go-live projects for our domestic and international clients, end to end. As the first person in this role, you will take ownership from the contract stage and build our project management standards, templates and PMO from the ground up. We run projects mainly with Agile (Scrum/Kanban), and use Waterfall or hybrid approaches where needed.

What you will do

Project initiation and planning

• Step in at the contract stage, take ownership of the project and onboard the new client into the Datassist ecosystem
• Plan implementation, integration and workflows for the agreed products and services
• Build a standard payroll transition timeline template and tailor it to each client's needs
• Identify dedicated project resources and define roles and responsibilities (RACI)

Stakeholder and meeting management

• Run kick-off meetings to align client and internal teams on scope, timeline and expectations
• Share the project plan with all stakeholders and keep it current
• Plan and lead client meetings, making sure all relevant stakeholders attend
• Facilitate dailies, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives

Tracking, control and go-live

• Track every stakeholder's tasks against the plan on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Define and monitor SLAs to prevent delays
• Spot risks and blockers early, raise flags and bring the right people together to resolve them
• Take the project live on the agreed date and hand it over to operations
• Report project status regularly to management and clients

Building the PMO

• Define project methodology, templates, KPIs and reporting
• Analyze and continuously improve the implementation process
• Capture and document lessons learned from each transition

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, MIS or a related field
• 7+ years of project management experience in software, SaaS or service projects
• Business analysis experience: process analysis, requirements gathering and process modeling
• Solid command of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall
• Fluent written and spoken English, able to lead meetings with international clients
• Experience with Jira, Asana, MS Project or similar tools
• Strong time, stakeholder and relationship management skills
• Able to run several projects in parallel with a strong sense of ownership
• Comfortable with ambiguity and enjoys building structure

Nice to have

• Implementation experience in payroll, HR, ERP or HR Tech projects
• Familiarity with Turkish payroll legislation and SGK processes
• Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM / CSM or PRINCE2
• Experience with integration projects (API, data migration, ERP/HRIS)
• Experience setting up or maturing a PMO
