Purpose & Scope of the Role We are seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale multi-disciplinary projects within our Buildings Infrastructure sector. Working closely with Technical Discipline Leads, the successful candidate will assist in the coordination and management of projects across scope, quality, budget, programme, and risk. The role involves day-to-day project support, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and commercial oversight to help ensure successful project outcomes. You will play a key role in maintaining best practice, supporting business growth, and contributing to the effective delivery of projects and programmes across the sector. Your Impact in This Position In this role, you will help ensure the successful delivery of complex projects by supporting planning, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management. You will contribute to strong commercial performance, effective risk and change management, and the proactive resolution of issues. Your work will support senior management, strengthen client relationships, and help expand Tetra Tech’s presence in key markets. Through your contribution, you will play an important part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the continued growth of the Buildings Infrastructure business. Core Capabilities Project Delivery Focus Strong focus on successful delivery, with attention to detail and accountability across scope, budget, programme, quality, and risk. Stakeholder Management Ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, internal teams, and senior stakeholders to support project progress. Commercial and Risk Awareness Experience in cost, programme, contract, and risk management, with the ability to identify issues early and support timely resolution. Leadership and Team Support Capable of working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, motivating others, and contributing to effective project coordination. Technical and Organisational Skills Strong project management knowledge, excellent planning and reporting skills, and proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and/or Primavera P6. Qualifications & Experience Relevant third-level qualification in project management, civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related discipline. 5 to 7 years’ experience in project management, project delivery, or execution across projects of varying size and complexity. Chartered Engineer status, or close to attaining Chartership. Demonstrated technical proficiency in project management and delivery. Strong knowledge of project and programme management methodologies and industry best practice. Experience in engineering consultancy and/or construction projects in Ireland. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations. Experience working with accredited IMS and standards, including quality, environment, health and safety, data security, risk, and BIM. Strong communication, coordination, and people management skills. Proficient user of MS Excel and project scheduling tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera P6. Working Environment This is a collaborative role based preferably in Galway, with consideration for candidates in Cork or Dublin. The position involves working within a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with internal and external stakeholders as required.
