Project Manager - Defence Virtual Simulation (FAR) We are a well-established team based in Farnborough (UK) at OneArc, developing world-leading military simulations for major NATO powers and their allies. We constantly seek ways to advance the industry using the latest technologies and trends (such as whole-world simulations, motion tracking, VR, and AR). We believe in saving lives through simulations. Your job will be totally different from what you expect We give you freedom and responsibility to do things well, support you, train you, and teach you. We have a relaxed environment where we aim not to limit our staff with too many regulations. We trust you. We offer a wide variety of work and a crunch-free environment due to our products being developed as a continuous service. Also, you will not constantly do the same things over and over again. You will lead the coordination, implementation, and execution of our flagship Defence Virtual Simulation (DVS) programme for the UK Ministry of Defence (UK MOD). Our business has a worthy cause, the work we do has an actual impact on making the world a safer place. You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, industry partners, and the UK MOD—managing project delivery across cost, schedule, and scope while driving customer satisfaction, organizing community events, and supporting sales opportunities. Do you think you have what it takes? You proactively take on complex program challenges and work to get them fixed, aiming for long-term operational success. You have 5+ years of proven project management experience, holding a PMQ (APM) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification. You possess hands-on Virtual Battlespace (VBS) experience (e.g., Administrator course completion and regular active usage). You are comfortable with UK MOD contracting and procurement procedures, managing requirements to meet strict deadlines. You take ownership of your work, adapt to changing requirements, and lead customer briefings with excellent presentation skills. You are self-motivated, highly organized, and hold (or are eligible to obtain) UK security clearance, with a willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK. Nice to have: ITIL qualification. In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and software development lifecycles. Familiarity with military simulation, interoperability standards, and military R&D. Detailed knowledge of the broader VBS product suite. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and dedicated project planning software. What you get? We're not about all the hard work and no fun. Our office culture is relaxed, collaborative, and mission-driven. We do our best to look after our people. Below is a snapshot of the perks you'll get if you work with us: Diverse, challenging, yet fun work environment managing one of the UK MOD’s most critical simulation programs. Opportunity to work on top-of-the-line, cutting-edge products employed by military organizations globally. Ability to influence program direction, strengthen the OneArc brand, and directly impact capability rollout. Work with and learn from talented colleagues in a high-visibility leadership role. Full-time employment with a competitive salary. Hybrid work environment: 3 days office, 2 days home option. 25 days vacation per year + 8 bank holidays. 5% company pension contribution matching scheme. Death in Service Life Assurance benefit (3x annual salary). Free Gym access scheme. Office refreshments including filtered water, coffee, tea, and fruit. We don’t offer just a job. We want to give you the opportunity to grow and advance the simulation market.
