Are you looking for limitless career opportunities with a company that values growth, innovation, and teamwork? At Ntiva, we’re more than a Managed Services Provider, we’re a community dedicated to helping each other, our clients, and their businesses thrive both personally and professionally. Ntiva is a culture of people who are passionate about the work…and each other.

Our clients view us as an essential part of their teams, relying on us for strategic guidance, fast solutions to complex challenges, and proactive support. With strategic locations across the U.S. and leadership from our founder, Steven Freidkin, we’re on the front lines of a fast-paced industry, facing cybersecurity threats and rapid technology changes together.

If you thrive in a dynamic, supportive environment and enjoy going above and beyond, we’d love to meet you. Come explore one of our many opportunities and grow with us!

How you’ll make an impact

As the Project Manager (PM) within the Dental Division, you will own the planning, execution, financial control, and closure of IT infrastructure projects designed by our Solution Architects for a client base of dental practices and Dental Service Organizations (DSOs), including deployments, implementations, migrations, onboardings, changes, and upgrades. You will lead the delivery team of Systems Engineers, working alongside Solution Architects and Account Managers, to deliver every project on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. Strong customer relations, clear expectation management, and follow-up to ensure work has been completed to the customer's satisfaction are a must, as is the ability to explain technical work to non-technical clients. You'll need to be a team player, yet work well independently, and be comfortable managing many projects at once.

Location and Work Expectations

  • This exciting opportunity involves working on-site with various clients, providing an immersive and dynamic work experience. Join us as we embark on a journey that takes you to different client sites every day, offering you the chance to explore new locations, build diverse professional relationships, and make a significant impact in the industry.
  • Candidates must be located near our McLean, VA, Kansas City, MO, Shreveport, LA, or Chicago, IL office.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle. Travel may require up to 1.5hr drive to the location

  • This position is approximately 90% remote and 10% onsite.
    • Onsite time includes client site visits for kickoffs, cutovers, and walkthroughs as projects require.

    What you will be doing

    • Own a high-volume portfolio of concurrent infrastructure projects (new deployments, migrations, upgrades, service additions and changes) from Sales hand-off through close, as the owner of each project and its success.
    • Maintain minimum billable utilization of 70%.
    • Review each sold scope and budget before kickoff with the Lead Engineer, confirm the allocated hours are sufficient, and raise gaps before work begins.
    • Lead the Internal Kickoff (IKO) to align the Lead Engineer, Solution Architect, and Account Manager on goals, scope, risks, and timeline, then run the client kickoff.
    • Build and maintain the ConnectWise Manage workplan, with task-level time estimates set with the Lead Engineer, and track allocated, scheduled, and completed hours throughout the project.
    • Schedule engineering resources on ConnectWise calendars, set realistic end dates, and lock in the monthly project forecast during the first week of each month.
    • Coordinate dental-specific dependencies, including practice-management-system and imaging vendors, equipment delivery, and multi-site DSO rollout schedules, so engineering work lands on the dates the practices need.
    • Coordinate procurement, vendors, carriers, and third-party field resources (e.g., Field Nation) so equipment and dependencies are in place when engineering work is scheduled.
    • Send weekly status and budget updates on Time & Materials projects (PM hours, Engineer hours, total budget used) to the client's primary contact and the Account Manager, tied to the project's Budget Update ticket.
    • Run the 50% mid-point budget check-in and the 80% budget meeting, document approvals and decisions in the ConnectWise project notes, and escalate potential overruns early.
    • Identify out-of-scope work, obtain written client approval for minor T&M additions, and initiate change orders through the Account Manager and Solution Architect for larger changes.
    • Place projects on hold when client readiness, access, or scope issues block progress, after confirming all logged time is accurate.
    • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, and manage stakeholder communication and expectations, both internally and externally.
    • Facilitate internal and external project meetings and handle project escalations, bringing in management as needed.
    • Ensure engineers log time and detailed notes daily, verify time accuracy before any client budget report, and complete a post-project budget review.
    • Drive project close: QC review, Certificate of Completion and client sign-off, closing documentation, and a clean hand-off to the Service Desk for steady-state support.
    • Follow Project Delivery SOPs and project status definitions, keeping ConnectWise project status, notes, and dates accurate at all times.
    • Work outside regular business hours on occasion to support cutovers and after-hours project work.

You’ll be successful in this role if you have

    • 2–4 years of project management experience in IT, managed services, or professional services.
    • Working knowledge of the project management process groups (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, closing).
    • Proven ability to manage many concurrent projects at once while keeping schedules, budgets, and communication on track.
    • Working knowledge of Time & Materials and Fixed Fee project models, budget burn, forecasting, and change control.
    • Hands-on experience with ConnectWise Manage (projects, workplans, scheduling, time entry), Datto RMM, and/or other professional services automation software.
    • Strong skills with Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
    • Enough technical understanding of Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, networking, firewalls, servers, and cloud migrations to plan work and translate technical status into business language.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with practice staff and DSO leadership during project deployments.
    • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
    • Confidence managing client expectations, escalations, and difficult conversations about scope and budget.
    • This role involves extended periods of sitting or standing and regular use of computers and office equipment.

    Required language skills

    • Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally.
    • Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.

    Bonus points for

    • CAPM or PMP certification (CompTIA Project+ or ITIL also valued).
    • Background in IT managed services (MSP).
    • Dental IT or healthcare project experience, including familiarity with practice-management and imaging systems.
    • Experience with ConnectWise Sell, Order Porter, and Power BI reporting.
    • Experience coordinating third-party field technicians (e.g., Field Nation).
    • Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements as they apply to IT projects and data handling.

    • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
    • Must be able to work in an unsupervised environment.
    • Must have a valid driver's license in the state you reside and access to an insured vehicle for occasional travel to client sites / office.
