Lead Regional Digital Transformation for a Global Market Leader! 🚀

A publicly listed travel-tech and hospitality SaaS innovator (TSE Growth Market listed) is looking for a Director of Project Management to oversee customer implementation projects, establish organizational governance, and drive regional expansion across Asia-Pacific and beyond.

Combining rapid corporate growth (~40%+ YoY revenue growth) with an international, multicultural engineering culture (~80% international team across 9 country hubs), this company empowers accommodation facilities and hotel chains with cloud engines, CRM, AI, and analytics tools.

What You’ll Do

• Hands-on Project Leadership (~50% Bandwidth): Act as the Project Owner (not just a passive supervisor) for high-stakes, large-scale enterprise deployments from kickoff to full operational launch.
• PM Organization Leadership: Line-manage, recruit, mentor, and evaluate a team of 2–3 Project Managers / PMO members, building out standardized evaluation criteria and workflows.
• Portfolio & Governance Setup: Establish project standards, deliverable templates, quality gates, and real-time visibility dashboards for executive management.
• AI-First Process Design: Take full autonomy in re-architecting project management, requirements gathering, and knowledge management using Generative AI.
• Cross-Functional & Regional Alignment: Partner directly with C-suite stakeholders, Product, Sales, Development, and APAC regional offices to streamline decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ Years of Experience: Managing client-facing system implementations or software development projects at an IT, SaaS, or consulting firm.
• Bilingual Capability:
• Japanese: Native or JLPT N1 equivalent (1+ years managing Japanese enterprise clients).
• English: Business level (TOEIC 860+ equivalent, 2+ years running projects in English).
• PM Leadership: Background overseeing multiple concurrent projects or leading a PMO/PM team.
• Executive Presence: Proven track record presenting, negotiating, and aligning consensus with C-suite and executive stakeholders.
• AI & Modern Tooling: Practical experience integrating Generative AI tools into daily workflows to boost individual and team productivity.

Nice to Haves

• Formal PM Certifications (PMP, PRINCE2).
• Industry background in SaaS, travel, or hospitality.
• Hands-on software engineering, SQL/BI analytics, or business reform/PMI experience.

• Location: Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid remote with ~2 days/week office collaboration).
