We are looking for a Project Manager who would lead World Vision New Zealand’s Dynamics 365 CRM implementation from design and build through data migration, go-live and handover. Working with a fast-paced, AI-enabled implementation partner, you’ll focus delivery on what matters most, ensure trusted data and prepare our teams to adopt the new system confidently. Bring your technical delivery leadership to a 12-month+ fixed-term role that helps us support children better.
It’s not every day that a job comes along where you really can change the world. Keep reading if you want to be part of:
- Creating positive change in the lives of the world's most vulnerable children.
- Using your CRM delivery and data migration skills to help our teams work in a system they trust.
- Working with a fast-paced, AI-enabled partner team on a new CRM that supports the people who support children.
World Vision New Zealand is implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 to help our Fundraising, Supporter Care, and Finance teams serve our supporters better. As Project Manager, you’ll lead delivery from design and build through data migration, integration, testing, go-live, hypercare, and handover, keeping our implementation partner and internal teams focused on what matters most. Working within an agreed strategy and governance framework, you’ll make sure data is trusted and teams are ready to use the new CRM confidently. This is a technical delivery leadership role, rather than one that sets CRM strategy or builds the solution. You’ll bring the judgement to assess design and quality, ask informed questions, and challenge delivery approaches. Hands-on testing and validation experience is valued.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end delivery across design, build, data migration, integration, testing, cutover, go-live and hypercare, keeping the critical path and agreed scope protected.
- Prioritising what matters most, focusing internal teams and our implementation partner on the right next actions amid competing tasks, issues and requests.
- Leading data migration planning with our data engineers, managing dependencies and securing timely business decisions, clear data ownership and formal acceptance of data readiness.
- Preparing teams for adoption through training, transition communication and business readiness sign-off across Supporter Care, Fundraising and Finance.
- Providing technical delivery assurance across Dynamics 365, Dataverse and Power Platform, identifying design and quality concerns early and challenging unnecessary customisation.
- Managing partner accountability, finances and governance, holding our implementation partner to agreed commitments, managing budgets and forecasts, validating invoices, and providing concise reporting that supports timely decisions.
- Leading stabilisation and handover to business as usual, with clear support ownership and a prioritised backlog of unresolved or deferred work.
This is your opportunity to join a professional, passionate and diverse team at World Vision New Zealand, who will stop at nothing to create meaningful change for children. Every day, as part of World Vision’s global reach, you’ll help the world’s most vulnerable families build safer and brighter futures. Every night, you’ll go home knowing you made a difference in someone’s life.
About you:
You bring sound judgement, technical understanding and the people skills to lead a complex CRM implementation.
- You've led at least one full CRM implementation, from a legacy system through to go-live. Dynamics 365 experience is a real advantage.
- You've led complex data migration and know how to get the business to own its data decisions.
- You know what matters most next, and you keep the team and partner focused on the right things, not just busy.
- You understand the technology well enough to question what's being built and challenge a partner when needed.
- You've managed budgets of $1M or more and held implementation partners to account, and you use AI tools such as Copilot to work smarter.
- You build trust quickly, listen well, and communicate clearly and briefly.
Nice to have : hands-on Dynamics 365 configuration, especially testing and validation; experience with communication preference and consent management, recurring payments, or PCI-DSS.
