The Opportunity
Based in Ludvika, the global hub of HVDC innovation, this role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our engineering teams, production facilities, and test labs, gaining valuable insight into the technology and seeing the direct impact of your projects from design and manufacturing through to final delivery.
As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of project delivery from initiation to completion, leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring successful execution across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
As part of GI valves at Hitachi Energy, you play a key role in delivering one of the most critical components of an HVDC system, the valves at the heart of the converter station. Working in a global and collaborative environment, you will bring together stakeholders across multiple functions and help drive the technology that enables the transmission of clean energy across regions and continents.
How you’ll make an impact
- Lead projects related to HVDC valves and associated equipment deliveries worldwide
- Ensure successful project execution in line with scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and customer requirements
- Coordinate and motivate teams across engineering, production, testing, and supply chain
- Drive project performance through effective planning, risk management, and resource allocation
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and contractual compliance
Your Background
- Degree in Engineering, Energy, Industrial Management, Infrastructure, or a related technical discipline
- Experience in project management within engineering, energy, industrial, or infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, build alignment, and drive progress across cross-functional teams in complex technical projects
- Fluency in English is required to, Swedish is considered a strong advantage
- Experience within the energy sector is considered an advantage
