Responsibilities

Responsible for coordination, status reporting and implementing project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet assigned expectations. This position develops/defines, publishes, and executes project plans including SOW/MOUs, work plans, and schedules, budgets, and deliverables/responsibility matrices. Coaches staff on project management methodologies.

A key responsibility is to improve decision-making on projects and ensure that metrics related to ROI are leveraged in decision making process. Further responsibilities include balancing schedules, scope, and budget; renegotiating with sponsor as necessary; and performing variance analysis. Serves as liaison and representative to Garnet Health’s clinical and business partners, workgroups, and committees. Ensures that project dashboards are updated and champions the department’s mission, vision, and values.

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $94,497-$118,131 salaried. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity)

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum Experience:

• Five (5) years’ project management-related experience required.
• Ability to work with a computer terminal for extended periods of time required.
• Good project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and handle stressful situations required.
• Excellent technical aptitude, interpersonal, organizational and training skills required.
• Flexible and effective in a team environment.

Required Certification/Registration:

• PMP EPIC Certification a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Travel to multiple facilities is required.
• Travel to Wisconsin for Epic training may be required.
• Work requires extensive standing and walking

Working Conditions:

Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works primarily inside in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards.

• Fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Evening and weekend work is required from time to time.

Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate point of sales system, computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 20 lbs. Other physical requirements include the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, twist, balance and reach above, out and below.

• Mobility – Position requires incumbent to sit for long periods of time at a computer.
• Visual Discrimination – Position requires incumbent to see both near and far away.
• Hearing – Position requires incumbent to hear normal sounds with some background noise, as in answering the telephone.

Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.

• Concentration – Position requires incumbent to frequently concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption.
• Attention Span – Position requires incumbent to frequently attend to tasks/functions for longer than 60 minutes at a time.
• Conceptualization – Position requires incumbent to constantly understand and relate to the theories behind several related concepts.
• Memory – Position requires incumbent to frequently remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over long period of time.
• Communication – Position requires incumbent to constantly communicate verbally using advanced level vocabulary and communicate in writing.
