DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly organized and technically adept Project Manager II to lead complex, cross-functional projects across our North America messaging portfolio, including 10DLC, Short Code, MMS, Toll-Free Numbers (TFN), and RCS related initiatives.

As a PM II, you will be the driving force behind our most critical initiatives. Your role is to develop & execute project plans involving multiple stakeholders, including large enterprise customer migrations, carrier & vendor integrations, and large cross-functional product initiatives. You will act as the operational glue across teams, driving daily workflows in Jira and Slack, supporting high-stakes troubleshooting and escalations, and providing clear, executive-level visibility through presentations and documentation. You are the person who turns complex technical requirements into delivered operational realities.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Delivery: Lead complex messaging initiatives including large enterprise customer migrations, carrier integrations, as well as managing small-to-medium traffic migrations, from initial scoping and timeline planning through to final deployment and post-launch success measurement.

  • Drive Carrier & Technical Integrations: Manage large-scale NA Messaging technical projects, including new carrier or supplier onboarding activities and intricate carrier integrations across the A2P ecosystem.

  • Own the Operational Workflow: Serve as the master of our North America Messaging project ecosystem, optimizing cross-team collaboration and tracking via Jira, Slack & other tools.

  • Manage Risks & Dependencies: Identify project risks and issues early, propose mitigation options, and manage cross-team dependencies to keep deliverables on track and remove execution blockers.

  • Triage & Resolve: Support critical troubleshooting activities and act as a steady, organized point of contact during internal escalations, bringing the right technical minds together to solve problems quickly.

  • Provide Strategic Visibility: Create high-quality presentation decks, project updates, and specialized documentation to keep leadership, stakeholders, and external partners aligned on project health and timelines.

  • Support Product Operations: Act as the go-to project management resource for the broader Product Operations team, taking on ad-hoc initiatives that drive business value and operational efficiency.

  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Experienced: You have 3-5+ years of technical project management experience, preferably within the CPaaS, telecommunications, or A2P messaging industries.

  • Broad A2P Messaging Knowledge: A strong understanding of the North American messaging ecosystem, including 10DLC, Short Code, Toll-Free, and MMS requirements. RCS is a bonus!!

  • Migration & Integration Expertise: Proven experience leading complex enterprise customer migrations and managing software or carrier integrations.

  • Tool Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Agile project management tools (such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet, etc) and communication platforms (email, slack, MS teams) to drive workflow and team alignment.

  • Structured & Agile: You are highly organized with a strong commitment to deadlines, but agile enough to handle rapidly changing priorities and complex, time-critical initiatives

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: The ability to influence, motivate, and align engineering, product, and operations teams toward a common goal.

  • Crisis Management: Experience supporting technical troubleshooting efforts and managing internal escalations calmly and effectively.

  • Solution-Oriented: You can move progress forward even when all the answers aren't readily available.

  • Strong Communicator & Networker: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships, distill complex project data into polished executive updates, and translate technical messaging topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • PMP Certification: A Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is considered a strong nice-to-have.

This is a remote opportunity, but candidates must reside near one of our hub locations for occasional collaboration: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; San Antonio, TX; Denver, CO
