Project Manager-Industrial Water/Wastewater

Description OVERVIEW: We are seeking an enthusiastic Project Manager with 8+ years of experience in Solid Waste engineering to establish client relationships, define client needs, develop winning strategies, prepare proposals, and manage the development, design and permitting of a wide range of projects related to solid waste management and environmental services. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, resourceful, well-organized, and a cooperative producer and manager that is able to meet project goals, schedules, and budgets. This is a critical role in a very fast-growing business unit to provide design and plan production support of industrial water/wastewater and solid waste projects to treat landfills. During Your Work Day, You Will: Act as the direct point of contact in communication with clients and stakeholders. Manage and coordinate the development, design and permitting of multiple projects simultaneously. Prepare designs and permit applications to acquire approvals from regulatory bodies. Maintain complicated schedules, develop project timelines, coordinate with subcontractors, and manage people and materials to complete jobs on schedule and within budget guidelines. Assess and mitigate project risks in advance of detailed engineering efforts. Prepare detailed models and technical documents to present project design/feasibility findings to stakeholders. Assist the M&C business development team, including the preparation of detailed technical proposals. Perform and/or check technical calculations and prepare project specifications. Prepare reports, client communications, deliverables, etc. and consult with other internal partners as needed. Pro-actively recognize conditions and problems of non-routine nature and develop effective solutions. Mentor and grow junior staff. What You'll Need: Experience in Solid Waste Landfill liner and final cap permitting and design and leachate collection / pre-treatment systems. Experience in Solid Waste Landfill Gas system design inclusive of related mechanical systems (blowers and flares).
