The Job

Transition is the magic word at STICHD these days. We are in an exciting phase as a company, and our Program Management team plays an important role in ensuring we bring strategy and execution together from a project point of view.

As a Project Manager – Technology you will be responsible for the planning, execution and closing of projects according to scope, deadlines and budget. You ensure alignment between different projects, cross-functional project team members and other stakeholders to drive business success. Your main responsibility will be to deliver measurable project results, managing implementation milestones and due dates, and creating awareness of dependencies and risks. You keep the bigger picture in mind while making sure plans are translated into action.

The Project Manager - Technology we are looking for leads our technology-driven transformation programs. These depend heavily on changes in our core enterprise systems, such as SAP S/4HANA, our warehouse management system (WMS), PLM and the integrations between them, and they reach deep into logistics, customs and operations.

Your first assignment is EVOLVE, our program to replace our warehouse management system step by step. It starts with completing our customs insourcing project, followed by the WMS Foundations project and then the WMS replacement itself, with go-live planned for 2029. The roadmap and business case are in place; you will own the detailed plan and the delivery from here. You will work closely with our IT department, an external implementation partner and a business co-Project Manager. After go-live, you will lead the next enterprise programs on our roadmap.

Your Mission

Project Planning

• Define detailed project plans, including resources, timelines and budget.

Project Execution

• Lead teams in the implementation of a program and underlying project plans.

• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and follow up on progress.

• Monitor progress and recognize upcoming challenges or risks. Define, propose and implement countermeasures.

• Direct the implementation partner and other vendors against contract, scope, quality and budget.

• Lead cutover, go-live and hyper care for each release, and the handover to IT and Operations.

Quality Control

• Ensure program and project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.

Budget Management

• Track project expenses and ensure they stay within budget.

• Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to program and project expenditures.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Plan well in advance and report potential escalations to senior management and other stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Provide regular updates on status and successes to the program stakeholders, the wider company and your colleagues within the PMO and Strategy team.

Stakeholders & PMO

• Build strong working relationships with IT, enterprise architecture, logistics, customs and finance.

• Act as PM buddy for up to two in-line projects led by business colleagues: fortnightly check-ins, plan reviews and escalation.

• Keep program and project data in our portfolio tool (Smartsheet) complete, accurate and current.

Project Closing

• Oversee the completion of program and project deliverables and ensure they are handed over to the relevant stakeholders.

• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.

Your Talent

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, supply chain or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in project and program management, of which at least 5 years in enterprise system programs.
  • Certified knowledge of Program and Project Management methods (e.g. PRINCE2, IPMA, AGILE, or any other relevant method) and ability to apply it pragmatically.
  • Demonstrated: you have led at least one WMS or ERP-integrated logistics implementation end to end, through cutover, go-live and hyper care.
  • Demonstrated: you have managed an external implementation partner or system integrator against contract, scope and budget.
  • Demonstrated: you have been accountable for a program budget of €2 million or more, including forecasting and reporting.
  • Demonstrated: you have worked on SAP integrations and data migration, preferably with S/4HANA.
  • Experience with customs, warehousing or distribution processes is a strong plus.
  • You explain complex technical choices in plain business language to senior management.
  • Strategic mindset and experience in translating strategic thinking to tactical planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Process-oriented, structured, and organized approach to managing multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
