  • Hybrid working opportunities available across Monday to Friday
  • Aligned to Council Band 5 with salary commencing at $85,114.74 per annum plus 12% superannuation
  • Support key projects, systems and quality initiatives within Aged and Disability Services

We are seeking a motivated Project Officer to provide project and operational support across Aged and Disability Services. Working closely the Senior Coordinator Aged Care Operations, you will support system improvements, quality and accreditation activities, policy projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that help deliver high-quality services to the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide system administration support for Carelink+ and AlayaCare, and other department Client Management Systems.
  • Develop, implement, support and review system processes, systems enhancements to support Aged Care Operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, develop and maintain projects, project plans, implementation and outcome reports and other project-related deliverables.
  • Develop, analyse, and prepare reports for audits, departmental reporting requirements, KPIs, funding targets and service performance monitoring.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery, service improvement initiatives, and departmental objectives.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in project coordination, project support or project management.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and corporate systems.
  • Experience with quality, compliance or accreditation frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in aged and disability services, client management systems and/or local government will be highly regarded.

The Project Officer is accountable for the timely completion of allocated project work and operates with a degree of autonomy and discretion within established policies, procedures, and project parameters.

  • Provide high-level administration and support for Carelink+, the department's Client Management System (CMS).
  • Develop and improve business systems, processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support quality and accreditation activities, including Aged Care Quality Standards and Rainbow Tick audits.
  • Assist with the department's Policy Framework project and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
  • Ensure project tasks and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Provide efficient, responsive, and professional support across the department.

The Project Officer will provide project support to the Aged and Disability Services Department under the direction of the Senior Coordinator Aged Care Operations.

  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Experience with quality, compliance, and accreditation systems (desirable).
  • Knowledge of aged care and disability services client management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams to implement systems and process improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
