Senior Project Officer, Temporary opportunity to 12 -month with potential for extension or becoming permanent
Grade 9/10 role with Revenue NSW
Salary Range - $133,348 - $146,945 + super
Locations are flexible across Revenue NSW offices with hybrid working.
An exciting
opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Officer to join Revenue
Digital's Digital Transformation team, supporting the MARS
Transformation Program.
The MARS
Transformation Program is one of Revenue NSW's largest digital modernisation
initiatives. It is modernising the core platform that supports the
administration of taxes, duties and grants across NSW, reducing reliance on
legacy technology, improving cyber security and resilience, and enabling faster
delivery of digital services for customers and staff. The program also
establishes a blueprint for how Revenue NSW modernises critical legacy systems
into secure, scalable and cloud-enabled platforms.
As a Senior Project
Officer, you will play a key role in supporting multiple transformation
initiatives across the MARS portfolio, working closely with Product Owners,
Delivery Leads, Project Managers and business stakeholders to coordinate
planning, reporting, governance and workforce activities. You will help ensure
projects remain aligned to delivery commitments, funding constraints and
strategic outcomes while maintaining visibility of progress, risks and
dependencies.
The role is suited to
someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can balance competing
priorities, and is passionate about helping deliver large-scale digital
transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning, governance and delivery activities across multiple Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Coordinate project reporting, resource planning, forecasts and financial tracking.
- Prepare briefings, presentations, governance papers and executive reporting.
- Facilitate workshops, working groups and project forums.
- Monitor project milestones, risks, issues and dependencies to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Assist with workforce planning, recruitment activities and onboarding coordination.
- Maintain project artefacts, delivery plans and performance dashboards using tools such as Jira, Miro and Altus.
- Work collaboratively across Revenue
Digital, business teams and delivery partners to support program outcomes.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Demonstrate
- Experience supporting complex projects or programs within a digital, technology or transformation environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience preparing project reporting, governance documentation and executive briefings.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and identify practical solutions.
- The ability to remain resilient and maintain performance in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Experience coordinating project schedules, action plans, risks, issues and delivery milestones.
- Proficiency using project delivery and collaboration tools such as Jira, Miro, Confluence, Microsoft 365 and reporting dashboards.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to
continuous improvement.
