What we believe in:

At ABB, we are dedicated to addressing global challenges head-on. Our core values: care, courage, curiosity, and collaboration - combined with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities - are important drivers in our goal to enable everyone to create sustainable solutions. This is our story. Make it your story.

Role and tasks

As Project Planning Specialist, you will combine project planning and control with operational sales administration support within ABB’s Medium Voltage Products business. Working closely with project managers and colleagues across sales administration, engineering, finance, procurement and operations, you will create reliable schedules, maintain accurate SAP data and provide clear insights into project costs, revenue, cash flow, risks and opportunities.

The role is designed with a broad scope. Alongside project planning responsibilities, you will support the sales administration team during peak workload periods and planned absences and help administer project-related financial guarantees. Your work will contribute to reliable project delivery, accurate commercial data and continuity in day-to-day operations. The position is based at our office in Middelfart and follows a hybrid work model.

  • Maintaining and improving SAP master data, including material creation, sales item maintenance, product group structures and customer segmentation.
  • Developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, including baselines, forecasts, milestones, resources and critical-path activities.
  • Monitoring project progress, costs, revenue and cash flow, and providing regular reports and forecasts to the project team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identifying scheduling or cost deviations and working with project managers to define practical corrective actions.
  • Creating, administering and maintaining advance payment guarantees, warranty guarantees and other project-related financial securities.
  • Providing operational support and backup during peak workload periods and planned absences within the sales administration team.
  • Supporting project risk, change, contract and claims management by assessing potential schedule and cost impacts and contributing to mitigation plans.
  • Coordinating planning activities with engineering, procurement, finance, customers, contractors and other stakeholders while contributing to improvements in local tools and processes.

Qualifications for the role

  • Hands-on experience using SAP for master data maintenance, material creation, sales item maintenance or related sales administration tasks.
  • Experience with project planning, project control, project coordination or a related area.
  • Ability to develop and maintain project schedules and analyze milestones, dependencies and critical paths.
  • Experience monitoring project costs, forecasts, cash flow or other financial project information.
  • Experience with financial guarantees, commercial administration or similar project-related documentation is helpful.
  • Familiarity with project risks, changes, contracts or claims is helpful.
  • A relevant educational background in engineering, finance, business, project management or another applicable field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to organize information, manage parallel activities and communicate clearly in English; Danish proficiency is an advantage.
